HGSS-on FloatZone for BRs

How did it do in br? I'm thinking to remove zekrom for vileplume to slow down other decks and stop catcher. Still doing some testing

I ran Magnezone/Floatzel/Vileplume/Tornadus at a couple of battle roads; I top cut one but only went 3-3 in the other. It is prone to getting stuck with hands that you can't play out and can't magnetic draw through because of the lack of junk arm, which is why I switched to Magnezone/ZPST. If you want to play with it, though, my list was:

4-3-4 Magnezone
2-2 Floatzel
3-1-2 Vileplume
2 Tornadus

4 Rare Candy
2 Pokemon Communication
4 Collector
4 PONT
2 Elm's
4 Twins
1 Flower Shop Lady

2 DCE
6 Lightning
8 Water

Hm, that sounds pretty interesting. ZPST early game, then FloatZone late game. How do you manage that? I would very much like to know :) since you are like my #1 PG bud lol XD

Sorry RxWolffe, I vanished for a bit there! I don't use Floatzel --- I just prioritize turn 1 or 2 Zekrom or Tornadus first, and then start trying to build up a Magnezone while tanking with legendaries. It usually works well for me, but had a dry spell this weekend and I ended up bringing something else to BRs instead. And you definitely want catchers, but one or two switches can be helpful; it's easier to make room for both without Floatzel. :/ You could maaaaybe trim an energy and a supporter? Or maybe you just don't need switch as much with Floatzel able to come active and retreat for free, I'm not sure.

Honestly, the problem I had with Floatzel is that I almost always had a Buizel prized. In addition, he is kind of unreliable when it comes to having to attack. I mean, sure, the free retreat is nice and so is the one shot on Donphan with Pluspower, but he can often times be catchered up and picked off with Gothitelle, which topped my BR's. I decided not to participate in BRs this season since I didn't feel my deck was up to standard, and I had to work that day anyway -.- What I am actually doing now is shifting over to Blastoise instead of Magnezone to see how it pans out.

To be specific, my deck suffered greatly against prety much any deck that was able to set up faster. I went a pretty close game against Beartic, but I got shut out because of that godforsaken Lock. I had many plays I was sealed from. I prioritized the ZPST at the start, but towards the end I lost at the last prize. Gothitelle was a slightly more favorable matchup, but my issue was that unless I Lost Burned 3 energy, that Gothitelle kept coming back. In my recent match against it, I burned all of the energy in my deck only to be left with 1 prize. I had to scoop since there was no way of getting back into it. If I were to drop anything, I would probably drop Floatzel and a couple energy. Then against Cinccino, I have yet to pull a victory against it. The speed it pulled against me was incredible, and it would catcher up anything it could kill, or just pick it off with Yanmega. In my opinion, Cinccino variants are an unfavorable match. But, that is just my testing. If I continue to use this, I am probably going to drop Floatzel and try to compensate with more speed.
