Seems like a good combo to me. T2 Lucario or Virbrava spread spread spread. 3-3-2 flygon line probably with maybe one flygon ex d. I think Flygon SW is really nasty. The pokebody is good and makes up for the low damage from the attack. Opinions?

Just make sure you play at least 2 Holon's Castform with Flygon (SW).

80 for 3 energy? on a fighting type? That's low? Especially when it can OHKO Blissey with just a Lake Boundary (no need to have attached the fighting energy this turn)? Maybe against Magmortar it's a tad low. Fine. Magmortar will give you PAIN. Just about undeniable. Though... There's gotta be some way to recover...

Yes on the 2 Holon's castform. For sure.
Yes on the Flygon EX d.

I'm not sure I like Lucario though, due to it's psychic weakness (which even though Garde can't one shot it, Banette eats this guy alive).
What I think I'd like more, is either something to make Flygon more durable, or something to power Flygon up better. The fact that DarkWingDuck has fighting resistance is scary... How about something to power up Flygon (in two ways, actually) AND Eliminate the fighting resistance problem? That'd be cool...
Unfortunately, there seems to be nothing to act as a buffer to protect Flygon. Maybe just working on getting them set up in multiples is the answer? A familiar draw engine combo (I do believe Blaziken made this one popular) gives you 3 extra cards a turn, plus an energy in hand to attach to Flygon. That ought to help this goal...

I already tried it and it is too slow

    What? Flygon/Lucario?

Yes, I do feel that's not the way to go with today's metagame... Maybe back before SW. But how do you keep up with Garde/Gallade or Magmortar with such a deck? It wins against Blissey, which has seen SIGNIFICANT loss of useage...
It's too slow 'cause you don't have any way to play extra energy in a turn (beyond Double Rainbow, which lowers your already fragile damage) nor do you have the ability to draw extra cards to set up easier.

I dont see how it could be too slow if you're consistently getting T2 Lucario/Vibrava.

and my answer to DWD, is, as always, Ray ex d. I love that card and it does everything. It hits weaknesses and snipes.

In reality, spread isn't what it used to be. Decks get setup too quick now to actually spread damage well. I tried this deck, but usually didn't go with the Vibrava because 10 damage to everything wasn't much and I needed to do good damage to the opponent. Flygon can get one good shot in before becoming a waste of time. Lucario is good but also losing it's touch with higher damage decks coming into the format.

You can't get consistent T2 Lucario/Vibrava unless you run more than 4 evolution search. Quick Ball won't work because of the two lines, and Master Ball is too risky early game. Even if you do run 4 Celio/4 Bebe, if you don't draw into one of them T2 then you don't get T2 Lucario/Vibrava.

Master Ball's plenty good early game :/

But T2 Vibrava isn't that impressive, no. Sure, it's laying a damage counter on everything. Do you... Actually have the resources to take multiple prizes in a turn? Not... Really... (MAYBE Flygon EX d can. MAYBE Lucario can. It still takes a ton of effort, with the BIG HP pokemon that we have running around nowadays).

Flygon's also got 120 HP and no fighting resistance, meaning Gallade can either flip 3 prizes to slaughter it, or just Sonic Blade then not have to flip ANYTHING to kill it. Ow.

That's the main problem, actually. You just don't hold an answer to Gallade, EVEN WITH FLYGON EX d. Flygon EX d winds up being un-OHKO-able, true. But it also gets Sonic Bladed to death (which is VERY VERY VERY bad on a 150 HP stage 2 EX).

Need an answer to the silly pokemon who ruins your set up, is immune to Flygon SW's body, and is so easy to send early game (with the Gardevoir SW to help it, of course). Darkwing duck isn't the problem if you use Crystal Shard or another cool tech to eliminate your fighting type. Gallade is.

Double Rainbow Energy doesnt work for Flygon's effect so that makes Flygon worthless
