Gardilade! Help last cities is this weekend!

    Hey guys, I know every one has probaly seen a million lists of this deck, but right now I'm not sure how my list is working. Some of the problems: I can't seem to get a gallade set up fast enough, I'm getting really bad starts sometimes. Blissey, Delta and other quick red face paint decks are commonly played in my area, I wanted a win for the last citys so it would be really nice if you guys could help me out! Heres the list.

    Pokemon: 16

    4 Absol
    4-2-3-2-1 gallade/gardivoir/gardivioir level x (Side note: ralts and kirlias are from sw)

    Trainers: 27

    4 rare candy
    3 celios
    3 roseannes
    3 Team galactics wager
    3 team galactics mars
    3 windstorm
    3 plus powers
    2 stevens advice
    1 strength charm
    1 castaway
    1 warp point

    Energy: 17

    9 pyschic
    3 fighting
    4 double rainbow
    1 scramble

    So, theres the list... The strategy: Try to start with absol and a ralts on your bench. Baleful wind with absol untill your oppenent is really mad or has 1 of none cards in there hand. By this time you should have a Gallade set up and ready to go, bring it out and start beating down your oppnenet with pyschic cut, and hitting the big hp pokemon with sonic blade (only when you need too) Now you should almost have a gardivoir set up and start getting more galades set up by using your oppenents supporters. After you've gone through all your galades you should have already won or come close to winning.. If you havnt won yet bring out gardivor level x and bring down for a couple turns.

    I was thinking about possibly taking out the plus powers and strength charms to make more room for an extra kirlia another warp point and night maintnence or more draw.. Suggestions, help and comments would be HIGHLY appreciated. You can even give me a list that you played and did well with, I'll try it and tell you how I do in my area with it. Once again thanks!

    Replace Absol with Stantler. Boom your Problem with getting Gallades out is solved.

    i would run a 3 -2 line of Furret. It's awespme and ypu can set up 3 evolutions of Kirlia in 3 turns.

    for energy play 16(this give you a space for an extra trainer)

    3 DRE
    1 scramble
    7 psy eergy(this can be 8)
    5 fighting (this can be 4)

    -1 team G wger
    -3 team G mars
    -1 windstorm
    -1 plus power
    + 1 strenght charm
    +2 night maintenance
    + 2 stevens advice
    + 2 prof oaks visit

    just so you know, you are supposed to have a strategy for this. can rightfully get blocked else

    have you tried no LVX? maybe that would help out a bit.

    Hey, thanks for the suggestions and comments!

    Jand pds, running stantler over absol would probably get my gallades and gardivors set up quicker, but now your opponent can use there deck to the full potential, and the absols are great for me, whenever I use them I always discard a trainer, then get another good card.. It makes your opponent go crazy when they discard there strategy away.

    Pokemaniac93, Running a 3-2 line of furret would be weird, because furret would act like a secondary starter which kinda slows the deck down.. Also Shouldn't the line be 2-2?

    Pgrod, I like the idea of limiting my energy down to give me more room, but the changes to the trainer lines are very odd. With the changes you've made I'd be running 4 stevens advice, 2 wind storm (which is kinda pointless, if your playing a deck that runs cessation crystals 2 windstorm isn't going to do much, but I was thinking about completely taking these out.) and 2 prof oaks visit. The reason I run Team galactics mars is because it goes with t he disruption of absol and Team galactics wager. Also plus 2 is nice.

    Doppelganger, the level x in the deck helps so much actually, bring down is such a great attack .. If its your last pokemon you can easily survive 2 turns with it that 2-4 prize cards... It helps me at least. And sorry about not posting strategy I assumed people knew what it was :p. Ill add it

    -1 Psychic Energy

    -1 Scramble Energy

    +3 Professor Oak's Vist

    +1 Kirlia SW

    +2 Castaway

    +1 Windstorm

    +1 Warp Point

    +1 Roseanne's


    Why do you need PlusPower/Strength Charm?

    By the way, it is a very solid build......I am not very familiar with this deck so it would be hard to tell you what needs to be done.

    Once again, thank you guys for the suggestions!

    Toxictaipan, later tonight I'm going to try taking out the mars and switching them for oaks or diffrent draw power, but for the plus powers/strength charms they kinda help because theres 3 blissys in my age group and ussualy i have 1 energy and a DRE on the galade so if i have a pluspower I only have to flip over 2 prizes.. Also What happens when all the prize cards are flipped over? you have to stall with sonic blade and try to knock out stuff with bring down, but thank you for the suggestions and later tonight ill try it withouth mars and plus powers, see how it works.

    Vegeta ss4, thanks for the comment! So far its working decently, I'm still trying to find ways to make it run better.

    the problem i see with LVX is that it's attack could be worded alot differently, a bit like this: KO the weakest and most vulnerable pokemon in play.

    and when put like that, isn't the ray of sunshine you think it is.

    Oh you see I did not know about the blissys. Okay then keep them PlusPower/Strength Charm.

    You don't need fighting energy, just run 4 Multi.

    Doppelganger, yes infact they did rule gardy lvl x that it counts for your side of the field too. But the only reason I use gardy level x is mid-later game (some times even early game.) Lets say gardy lvlx is the only pokemon on the feild, you get a knock out every turn, also its very helpful after galades sonic blade.. teleportation then bring down something big! Its still very helpful!

    Toxictaipan, I took out the mars and added in TVR (because I couldnt find my oaks visit) and it works a lot better. 3 cards help a lot more then 2. And I also kept the plus powers/strength charms in.

    Let Fire Fall, I guess I could run multi, but I don't see the point.. Your probaly never going to be using raid with absol, and the 4 DRE take care of galade and gardy.

    Thats okay for now but put those Professor Oak's Visit in when you find them.

    And you need another Kirlia....

    I only run 2 fighting energy "just in case".. Well cities is tommrow morning. Wish me luck! and I'll tell you how I do tommrow!

    Where does everyone get the logic Oaks draws more cards than Mars. ITS NOT TRUE. Not only does Mars get 1 raw card advantage, so does Oaks (Mars for 2 is +1 CA ; Oaks for 3 then put back 1 = 1 CA) but Mars lets you get rid of a card from their hand, generating even more card advantage and disruption. Three key things Oaks doesn't have that mars does. And Pluspowers are extremely good to save you rom flipping a prize, 2 or 3 in the mirror lets you OHKO two Gallade flipping 3 prizes.

    Spoinkmaster, Thanks for clearing things up and explaining it better. The list above is the list I'll be using in a few hours.. The only thing Is one energy for one night maintenance (I know most people are going to say.. 1 night maintenance!!! it does nothing! But actually it helps a lot. I'm leaving in 10 minutes.. Once again, wish me luck!

    not for me, i know how it works. its just so mods can't get assy about not following guidlines. not acusing any mods of getting assy, just...yeah.
