Hey there, tossing around a few new deck ideas and want to focus on one to build. More fun deck since I want to wait to hear what (if any) sets will be cut for next year's modified play before trying to seriously focus on a competitive deck. I came back to the game late in the season I guess could be said so looking forward to a full season.

Back to business, I think I want to do a fun deck using Excadrill. Perhaps one of the coolest looking Stage 1s out there, effect-wise. Here's the list:

Pokemon (16)

4x Drilbur (54/98 Emerging Powers)
2x Excadrill (Dig Uppercut)
2x Excadrill (Drill Run)
4x Sandile
4x Krookodile (Emerging Powers)

Trainers (29)

4x Ether
4x Pokedex (yeah going that route lol)
4x Float Stone
2x Enhanced Hammer
2x Crushing Hammer
3x Heavy Ball
2x Max Potion
3x Super Rod
3x Skyla
2x Juniper

Energy (15)

15x Fighting

This is a rough draft for the deck, just came up with it. As it is I probably need more draw power and EX pokemon to begin the game.

The general idea is to equip Krookadiles with float stones so they can skate around the field each turn, trying to strip the opponent of their energy. Combined with the crushing hammers you could get up to 6 chances to remove basic energy before attacking. Either way, you can ensure energy removal with the Excadrill. 3 energy is a little slow but could be a solid move to make if you can Etherdex to full power on T2. By using the other Excadrill you can recycle the things you use. Oh I just remembered I think I want a Life Dew ace spec to use on the Junk Hunt-esque Excadrill. Letting them only get a prize every other knockout (if you could survive the turn you need to dig it out of the discard) might give you enough time to float your way to leave your opponent bewailing his fate.

I also need to add catchers (and harder hitting pokemon of course) because that also helps the energy problem if you can pull up someone who can't (or soon can't) attack or retreat on their own. Oh wow...also need to add Rare Candy haha....well planned right? X_X

I don't know, just a fun mechanic I was considering. Thoughts?
