Help, Unidentified base set card??

Actually there are accents over the e's, you just can't see them well(probably due to his "Crappy"(no offense, you said it) scanner.

I think we've found possibly the most stubborn person to ever visit the 'gym.
THE CARD IS FAKE.
THOSE STORES DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Look at it this way: Honestly, who do you think is more trustworthy on the subject?
-The owner of a store that specializes in several different games, who I can guarantee you is not an expert on Pokemon
OR
-A manager from the Pokemon Company, let alone at least a dozen diehard fans of the game
 
What tests did the shop owners use when they told you that the card is real? Did they also observe the absence of the legal line and illustrator and rarity symbol? Did they compare the card to an identical card? Did they check the colors of the reverse side?

Scanners don't change font types. You should rescan the image and make it bigger if you believe that is what happened to your scan. Don't come on here, show us an inferior scan, and then bash us when we tell you our analysis based on the quality of YOUR scan.

Really, if you don't believe us, you should quickly sell the card to one of those shop owners at whatever price they are willing to pay for it because you'll get nothing from any experienced person involved with this game. Any league leader, tournament organizer, judge, and PUI manager (ex: Professor Dav) will tell you the same.

Go around to several other pokemon forums, such as Pokebeach. They'll tell you the same thing. We're not n00bs at some small league or tournament. You're getting the most experienced opinions right here--you can't get much higher than Pokepop and Professor Dav.
 
If you need real proof, come and see me, as i live like ... 60kms away from you, or ill come up and see you at card house... :)
 
ya dude, ive been with the game since day 1. FAKE. Since I'm a keeper of godbooks, I can assure you of that. The coloring of the symbols is way off. font is messed up. legal line is missing, no rarity. there is a missing attack line text. The accent marks are not as defined as they are on real cards.
