Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Heroes Season 2! (Spoilers Inside)

Well, this episode didn't answer (or present) too many questions.
It disproves two of my theories, though - it wasn't Jessica on the beach with Sylar, and Maya's eye-killer thingy isn't a line-of-sight-borne thing. Meh.

I have to wonder whether Candice was working with the company, or independently... doesn't make much sense. Dunno what her motives to bring Sylar back to life would be. Then, of course, he goes ahead and kills her (honestly, who didn't see THAT coming). I wonder why he couldn't use her powers, though - was it just the chest injury, or something else?
Oh, and, there are probably at least a few things that stop this from happening, but Sylar taking Candice's power got me thinking that maybe the "averted" future will still happen. Prolly not though.

Kensei continues to be HILARIOUS. "You're like my conscience... only I take heed of you."
I'm a little worried, though, that Hiro might do something bad in order to win over the princess's love from Kensei. Dun dun DUNN.

Hmm... was that zoom up at the end of the last Peter scene showing the Godsend symbol tattoo on his arm? I think that's what it was, but I'm not sure.
And we still don't know what that thing means... (beyond the literal translation of the kanji)

Claire/Noah/West... this'll be fun. I think that West or an accomplice of his will somehow convince Claire to help them kill Noah... or something. Obviously I think that they'll fail and either the painting won't be true or will just not be what it seems.

And what does Niki need to be cured of? She can't possibly have that same darn disease as Molly and Shanti and everybody else... can she? Or maybe she wants to be cured of her powers? Jessica's gone, so I really can't figure it out.

And whoever she took Micah to live with obviously has powers, that goes without saying. What'd be hilarious is if they turn out to be something totally unexpected - I mean, the vibe you get from her is that it'd be something like mind reading, but it'd be quite amusing if it was Sylar-brand telekinesis.

Oh... also...
MOLLY CAN'T THINK OF ANY ORIGINAL NAMES. >_<
The Boogeyman! The Nightmare Man! COME ON.

If there's a season three with another "_____ Man" from Molly, the series will have gone to crap.

"Nightmare Man" is already stretching it, but if executed well the nomenclature may be forgivable.

He's got the disease, of course. The same one that killed Shanti and almost got the Haitian.

I suppose that's possible, seeing as how it disabled Molly and the Haitian's powers while they were being afflicted by it...
What I can't figure out is how Sylar was able to use his own power (figuring out how things work/being able to eat the correct part of people's brains/whatever he does when you hear the clock noise) but not the acquired one.

Well, Sylar doesn't exactly have a power. He was on Suresh's list, but his only power is "knowing how things work." That seems a lot more instinctive than something like flight or invisibility - so I'd say that it's a part of him that not even the disease can remove.

But his power to know how things work is superhuman - just by looking at a watch, he immediately knows what's wrong with it.
Also, no matter how much studying you do, I'm pretty sure you aren't going to be able to figure out what part of the brain to eat in order to gain someone else's powers.

I understand what you're saying, but I think we can both agree that there's something... different about Sylar's powers. That something could possibly exclude him from being affected by the disease.

Also, it may be necessary, for narrative purposes, to have Sylar steal peoples' powers but be unable to use them until a certain point/never/whatever. Heroes is a show about superpowers, it won't always make 100% sense.

Meh, 1st episode was good, the next two have been pretty disappointing IMO, the best thing out of them has been the girls Irish accent, but other than that, it hasn't been as good as I expected. Season 1 is one heck of a season to live up to. I hope this picks up.

I'm bored of Nikki; I wish they'd just axe her already. I really want her gone.

I'm also really bored of the Maya thing already. I'm really hoping to see some character development soon, otherwise I'll be focusing on my DS during those scenes.

I was hoping to see a different end to the Hiro/Kensei love triangle, but, alas, it seems to have strayed into the predictable.

Peter continues to PWN FOOZ, and remains my favorite hero. Were it not for his character, I might not have enough of an interest to rush home from league to watch the show. I'd just catch it on DVR later in the week.

The next big question to be answered is; who is the next Star Trek cast member to join the show?

I think Maya's story might show some promise once she finds Mohinder, but the journey to and through the US is probably going to be pretty boring if she doesn't encounter any other heroes.

I think the Hiro/Kensei triangle can still go down several paths. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Hiro does something... un-hero-like... to win the princess' love for himself.

As for the Star Trek cast member... I hope it's William Shatner. He will have the power to save you money on hotels.

wow i was really disappointed tonight. nothing about hiro or peter. the old heroes storyline is really intriguing, but it's moving kind of slow. the micah and his cousin's storyline is really boring, and that was half the episode. lame.

I think this episode was at least a little better than last episode, but still not as good as the first one.

We still need to know what Nathan did that made everybody hate him... obviously something after the explosion in New York.
And now Nathan's joining up with Matt, but I'm kinda surprised they didn't already know each other. Everybody's starting to know everybody. "Small world."

Sylar meets Maya and Alejandro, and HOW CONVENIENT - he just gets a sample of their power and completely gains their trust. He sure is one lucky fellow.
Dunno how many people noticed this, but his symbol - the cockroach - reappeared in this episode, on the dead body of the guy from New Jersey that was giving them a ride.

I guess they finally ran out of new and original powers to give people (though I must admit, I still don't know what the heck Maya's is) - West has the same power as Nathan, and now Micah's female cousin has the same power as Charlie (The waitress Hiro loved in season one).
Oh, and maybe I'm reading into this too much, but I'm convinced Micah's grandmother has some fortune-teller-esque power. She told the cousin to break a leg, and then the cousin did a spinny kick thingy. Meh. I'm probably drawing ridiculously nonsensical conclusions, but that grandmother just looks so much like a fortune teller.

And Matt's wife's baby was that other guy's after all... how sad. =(
But that's not the end of the depressing news for Matt! His father IS TEH NIGHTMARE MAN!
Matt said his dad stole stuff from people... maybe he stole from the other heroes?
Oh... and now Molly is stuck inside her own head... or something. I'm quite confused as to what's up with that. Maybe the nightmare man pulled her inside his apartment... mentally... or something. Yeah... confusing.

Also: BOB!

I'm unbelievably bored of Claire's storyline. 3 episodes in a row of, "Well I'm sooooooo different but my daddy is sooooooooo mean and West is just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute OMG! HE CAN FLY UGUISE!"

Also, no Peter stuff made this episode extra lame. It was nice to see the picture of the original twelve, though. And we finally figure out why Matt left - his wife's baby wasn't his. Yeouch.

Yeah, they should just leave Clair out of th series. It's basically a repeat of what happened last season. "I can only trust one boy, but never my father."

As for Matt's storyline, poor guy. His father's the Nightmare man, should've sen that coming. I wonder what power his father has.

I hope the next episode redeems this episode. It was dissapointing for the most part.

I think Claire's storyline will, like it did in the first season, get better with time. I'm interested in how things are going to play out regarding the Isaac picture that Mohinder sent Noah.

I have a theory on Nightmare Man, though it probably isn't right.
I think he's the one that is killing of the other first-gen heroes, and is like Sylar, having multiple powers, including:
-Regeneration and/or Flying (Disappeared from crime scene after killing Kaito)
-Invisibility (As seen when he attacked Angela)
-Whatever the heck you call his power to see Molly and trap her inside her head and whatnot.

If that theory is correct, a showdown between him and Sylar would be SWEET.

Note that when Angela was talking to Nathan, she said that she did a lot of horrible things in the past. I wonder what she did to make her want to get herself arrested now.

Also, Bob was in the photograph with the original Heroes. I wonder if he has a power and if he does, why he's working for the company? He even has Mohinder in his sights. Is he keeping an eye on Mohinder for "the nightmare man?"

1. The main reason she wants to be arrested is so that the FBI doesn't investigate further and therefore discover everyone's powers.

2. The original heroes were the ones that created the company.

They showed his power in the first episode (?) of the season when he was talking about unlimited funding and then turned his spoon into gold.
