Soft sleeves fit just fine.

The package is 1st party, no Ultra Pro in sight, though it uses very similar packaging to Ultra Pro packs. I haven't opened one (probably won't), but it looks like it could fit a card in a soft sleeve fairly easily.

Stole my idea, Ryan. I got 12 total... 4 for myself (awesome binders to stick trades in to take with to tournaments) and 8 to give away at the multitude of cities we're attending and staffing.

it holds 60 cards but u can put more than 1 in the sleeve though.i actually find this mini binder worth the 2 dollars.it looks nice front and back plus its portable to hold with.great to give away in small mini tournaments heck it even looks like a small pokemon book when its filled

Don't know if this will help, but here is a picture of my receipt showing I just purchased two at $1.99 each. Maybe try showing it to your local Target and telling customer service that your cousin in Illinois just bought it at this price, that perhaps they have it mismarked?
