hotel info?

Hi,

Does any one know any hotel info for Nationals? We've been looking for information on this but can't find any and we need to know so that we can plan ahead.

Thanks!

Is there an official Host Hotel for Nats yet? If it has not been listed yet anywhere Vince do you have an educated guess??

The Americas Center is not connected to any hotel. The closest hotel is the Holiday Inn Select.

Merged the 2 Hotel topics together.

Hopefully Vince or someone else familiar with St. Louis can help people out with info.

Hopefully this link will help some of you out.....

You can either stay around there or somewhere close by... There are plenty of reasonable hotels for the cost cutting folks 10-15min from the event.... In MO or right accross the Mississippi river in IL....

My main question is will there be a charge for "parking"????

If so the STL has a "metrolink" train for a few bucks a person you get a roundtrip ticket.
So you can park in a "free" patroled lot (Casino Queen in IL), or wherever you stay at, and you get let off a couple blocks from the event....

Just tossing it out there......

^^ There is a charge for parking at a LOT of the hotels around the America Center. For the hotels I have checked it is a better deal to stay about 9 miles out for cheaper and just drive in. You have to pay for parking when you get there this way, but a lot of the hotels downtown charge for parking in their lots.

See what a little GOOGLING?!!?!!? does for you.

There are hotels at good rates 10-15 minute sfrom the event like EHLERZ said, around $75 a night. I have a room booked right for for $71 a night that's 11 miles from the venue. Can't complain there.

Why isn't this being answered? Hundreds of people need this information.

I agree. It seems very late for them not to be putting it out there. If there are not going to be any special blocked out rates for Pokemon Nationals attendees it would be good to know that too.

Check above website link that was provided. I know some people have booked at the Wyndham, the Drury, both within walking distance for those that won't have cars...

Just be very careful about any hotels in East St. Louis. It is on the other side of the river from the convention center and a very, very dangerous area. It's best to stay on the Missouri side.

Hmmm, I'm intrigued by the 'includes transportation to and from the convention center.' I hope that they have some big buses that will be making a continuous loop. I wonder why it isn't a block at a hotel adjacent to the Convention Center. I would assume that there are some big hotels near the CC. I hope that there is not another convention at the same time.

I think I'll just stick with the reservation that I already made at the Drury as it is closer so we can walk, cheaper for a larger room, free parking plus other goodies.

Hmm, why wouldn't we get a pokemon rate for the Holiday Inn? The 150 buck rooms are so far away you have to take a bus?
Update, I just booked a room @ the Drury, a double bed room was 104- 144 a night. That is cheaper than the pokemon rate @ the hotel you have to get on the bus.........Good luck all!

I booked my room in the Hampton in mid January. I paid in full and got a room for a total of about 117 per night. That's including all the taxes and whatnot. If I hadn't paid in full it would of been around 140 per night so I saved about 20 per night by paying in full online, plus it is less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Convention Center, so it's a win/win. I do think that I booked the last room which is why I didn't post that info here, because I didn't want people to call only to find out they were sold out. They might have had cancellations or had more rooms open up (some hotels do that), so it might be good for people to try to check the Hampton for rooms now. :thumb:

I have to find out from Tina but she booked us a hotel 1/2 mile away with shuttles to the Convention center. Its suppose to be the hotel most players are staying at. As soon as she tells me the hotel name ill drop it here because it seems like the big hotel this year:biggrin:

I got a room at

The Hilton at the ballpark.
through the Pokémon USA INC linky.

it includes transportation :)
