Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How can I make this Ru/Sa team better?

I wanna keep Aron as an Aron, unless that drastically changes something. Vibrava will evolve.

254rss.png
Sceptile (1) @Leftovers / Petaya Berry
Ability: Overgrowth
Nature: Modest or Bold or Calm or Timid
-Leaf Blade
-Crunch
-Dragonbreath / Dragon Claw
-Protect

Protect when you need.

254rs.png
Sceptile (2) @Brightpowder
Ability: Overgrowth
Nature: See above Sceptile
-Double Team
-Endeavor
-Roar
-Leaf Blade

This is a unique set I stumbled upon. Double Team up, and since you probably going to take a decent bit of damage, Endeavor's gonna work. Then, proceed to Roar out each member in turn and Endeavor all of them. Then, KO each one with Leaf Blade. This is risky though, and is screwed royally to Aerial Ace.

257rss.png
Blaziken (1) @Shell Bell
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Hardy or Quirky or Serious or Bashful or Docile
-Flamethrower
-Brick Break
-Earthquake / Rock Slide
-Bulk Up

Standard sweeper. EQ for rocks/electrics, or Rock Slide for Flyers.

257rs.png
Blaziken (2) @Scope Lens
Ability: Blaze
Nature: See above Blaziken
-Focus Energy
-Blaze Kick
-Rock Slide
-Brick Break / Slash

The Criticken. One of my personal favorites. Focus Energy + Scope Lens + Move with high Crit rate = 50% crit rate. ph33r.

257rs.png
Blaziken (3) @Salac Berry
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Hardy or Quirky or Docile or Bashful or Serious
-Endure
-Reversal
-Sunny Day
-Fire Blast

Reversal: 300 power running off a potential 372 atk=ph33r. Fire Blast: 180*1.5 sunny day*1.5 trait (405 pwr) running off a potential 350 SA. Let the fun begin. Passing Agility is advisable. Thanks to Triple T for this set.

257rs.png
Blaziken (4) @Chesto Berry
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Hardy or Quirky or Bashful or Docile or Serious
-Flamethrower
-Brick Break
-Counter
-Rest

The Counterken.

260rss.png
Swampert (1) @Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Adamant
-Curse
-Rest
-Earthquake
-Brick Break / Return

Cursepert. This set is screwed over by ghosts w/ Levitate, though.

260rs.png
Swampert (2) @Brightpowder
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Quirky or Hardy or Serious or Docile or Bashful
-Double Team
-Take Down
-Endeavor
-Surf

Works along the same premises as the above Sceptile set, but a tad different. DT up, and (if you didn't sustain a lot of damage) Take Down yourself until you have low HP. Then, Endeavor, and then use your Torrent-Surf combo to finish the job. Again, is screwed over by Magical Leaf and such, but works
otherwise.

262rs.png
Mightyena @Shell Bell
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant or Impish
-Shadow Ball
-Return
-Hidden Power *Flying*
-Roar

A sweeper and psuedo-hazor rolled into one. HP Flying for the weaknesses.

264rs.png
Linoone @Chesto Berry/salac
Ability: Pick-up
Nature: Jolly or Impish
-Belly Drum
-Rest
-Headbutt / Return/Extremespeed
-Shadow Ball

Belly Drum on the switch, Chesto Rest, then use its great speed and maxed attack to sweep. Headbutt if you like flinching, or Return for sheer power.

267rs.png
Beautifly @Leftovers
Ability: Swarm
Nature: Modest or Bold or Timid or Calm
-Attract
-Stun Spore
-Silver Wind
-Aerial Ace

267rs.png
@petaya
modest//swarm
-Giga Drain
-Aerial Ace
-Hidden Power*fire/electirc*
-Silver Wind

a pretty good one i might add on this one,it combines neo-classical with standard.Swarm+Petaya both provide a *1.5 boost 2 both my attack and my special attack that *my good stats and Silver Wind's possiblwe stat increases=a pretty good bug.Even though i have 2 say a Bug/Flying with a good SA. Nintendo must of made a mistake somewhere. Parattraction and attack. Thanks to omni for this one.

269rs.png
Dustox @Brightpowder
Ability: Shield Dust
Nature: Adamant
-Toxic
-Double Team
-Protect
-Shadow Ball / Sludge Bomb / Silver Wind / Whirlwind

Annoyances, annoyances. Your choice for the last slot.

272rs.png
Ludicolo @Leftovers
Ability: Rain Dish
Nature: Bold or Modest or Timid or Calm
-Rain Dance
-Leech Seed
-Dive
-Toxic / Giga Drain

Another one of my personal favorites. It gains back a lot of HP every turn. Dive is even boosted by RD. Toxic if you want to be an 00ber annoyer, or Giga Drain if you want to cause damage and gain back even more HP.

275rs.png
Shiftry (1) @Leftovers
Ability: Early Bird
Nature: Adamant
-Shadow Ball
-Brick Break
-Amnesia
-Rest

This guy can be great if you know what your doing. Rest only lasts one turn due to Early Bird, making him nearly invincible. So sweep.

275rs.png
Shiftry (2) @Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Modest
-Sunny Day
-Solarbeam
-Synthesis
-Hidden Power *Fire* / Extrasensory

Works like the above Beautifly set, but much, much better. You get the Speed boost from Chlorophyll, so it isn't exactly suicide.

275rs.png
Shiftry (3) @Choice Band
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Adamant
-Explosion

Kamikaze. Thank you, TTT.

280rs.png
Swellow @Shell Bell
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant or Impish
-Facade
-Endeavor/Hidden Power*ground*
-Aerial Ace
-Steel Wing

Let this guy have a stat alignment. Now, watch the little bird demolish stuff. Facade (140 w/ alignment) + Guts (x 1.5 w/ alignment) + STAB (x 1.5) = 315 (ph33r). The other three moves are when you don't have a status alignment: Aerial Ace for snipering and STAB, Steel Wing for rocks and Endeavor when you're low.

285rs.png
Pelliper @Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Modest
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Attract
-Hidden Power *Fire* / Hidden Power *Dark* / Hidden Power *Psychic*

285rs.png
@petaya/chesto
Modest//keen eye
-Shockwave
-Aerial Ace
-Ice Beam/Rest
-Surf

Not much you can do, as it is very limited.

369rs.png
Gardevoir (1) @Brightpowder
Ability: Trace
Nature: Modest
-Psychic
-Thunderbolt
-Calm Mind
-Double Team

Standard. Gardevoir vs. Alakazam is debated a lot, generally because of Gardevoir's OK defenses and wider movepool, whereas zam has higher Speed and SA.

369rs.png
Gardevior (2) @Quick Claw
Ability: Trace
Nature: Bold or Calm
-Mean Look
-Will-o-wisp / Toxic
-Psychic
-Destiny Bond

Annoyance set. DB if you know your days are numbered.

287rs.png
Masquerain @Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Modest or Bold or Timid or Calm
-Hydro Pump / Water Pulse
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance
-Attract

287rs.png
@petaya
modest//intimdate
-Hydro Pump
-Aerial Ace
-Silver Wind
-Giga Drain

Takes care of all of its weaknesses but Electric. Works.

282rs.png
Breloom @Quick Claw
Ability: Effect Spore
Nature: Adamant
-Spore
-Bulk Up
-Focus Punch
-Hidden Power *Ghost* / Sludge Bomb

Another one of my favorites. QC Spore, then use its incredible attack to Focus Punch and Bulk Up while they're sleeping. HP Ghost if you can for Psychics.

341rs.png
Slaking @Leftovers
Ability: Truant
Nature: Adamant
-Curse / Amnesia
-Rest
-Hyper Beam
-Shadow Ball / Earthquake

Behold the new Snorlax. It's kind of an excuse to use Hyper Beam, as Truant has you skip a turn anyway. Curse up (This takes a while) or Amnesia. Rest, then dish it.

065rs.png
Alakazam (1) @Lum Berry
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Modest or Bold or Timid or Calm
-Psychic
-Recover
-Reflect/Calm Mind
-Fire Punch / Ice Punch / Thunderpunch

The classic RBY comes to RS, just made better with an Ability. Sync + Lum = evil.

065rs.png
Alakazam (2) @Choice Band
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Modest or Bold or Timid or Calm
-Psychic
-Trick
-Recover
-Disable

Trickband+Disable, then Psychic to death. Thank you, TTT.

277rs.png
Ninjask (1) @Brightpowder
Ability: Speed Boost
Nature: Impish or Careful or Adamant
-Dig
-Protect
-Sword's Dance
-Baton Pass

This guy was created to Baton Pass. This is the less risky version, as w/ Protect & Dig give you extra speed to pass.

277rs.png
Ninjask (2) @Brightpowder
Ability: Speed Boost
Nature: See above
-Double Team
-Sword's Dance
-Silver Wind
-Baton Pass

This is the more risky version. DT up, then SD, then Silver Wind until you get the boost, then pass.

278rs.png
Shedinja @Brightpowder
Ability: Wonder Guard
Nature: Adamant
-Protect / Double Team
-Sword's Dance
-Shadow Ball / Silver Wind
-Toxic / Confuse Ray

Sweeping potential. Protect to see if they've got a move that hits.

347rs.png
Exploud @Leftovers
Ability: Soundproof
Nature: Adamant
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Return
-Shadow Ball

347rs.png
@chesto/petaya/leftovers
lonely//soundproof
-Extrasensory
-Return
-Howl
-Earthquake/Rest

Pretty self-explanatory.

311rs.png
Hariyama (1) @Focus Band / Salac Berry
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant
-Rock Tomb
-Belly Drum
-Endure
-Reversal

Rock Tomb to lower speed, then Belly Drum, then Endure, then Reversal. 450 base off a maxed attack. ph33r.

311rs.png
Hariyama @Chesto Berry
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant
-Rest
-Whirlwind
-Knock Off
-Brick Break

Knock Off the opponent's item, Whirlwind and repeat. ph33r this with Spikes. Thanks to Triple T for the set.

119rs.png
Seaking @Leftovers
Ability: Water Veil
Nature: Calm or Modest or Bold or Timid
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Horn Drill
-Surf

It's no FishTauros, but it can work.

130rs.png
Gyarados @Leftovers / Liechi Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Hidden Power *Flying*
-Protect

130rs.png
@shell bell
adamant//intimidate
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
-Hidden Power*flying*
-Tuant

Tuantrados then Sweep.

184rs.png
Azumarill @Brig6yhpwder
Ability: Huge Power
Nature: Adamant
-Defense Curl
-Rollout
-Return
-Double Team

184rs.png
@shell Bell/Chesto/Salac
adamant//Huge Power
Belly Drum
Return
Amnesia/Defense Curl
Rest/Rollout/Hidden Power*ice*/Ice Beam

Maxed-out attack 450*1.5*1.5*1.5=powerful if used with Return.
Many underestimate the power of this guy. It has like 400 Attack w/ Huge Power. D-Curl and Rollout to dish lotsa damage. Switch to Grass / Electric though-- it won't be able to handle it.

076rs.png
Golem @Quick Claw
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Adamant
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Brick Break
-Explosion

Just dish what you can, when you can.

295rs.png
Nosepass @Quick Claw
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Adamant or Calm

Nintendo must of been smoking something when they made this. Toxi-trapper.

291rs.png

Nature: Impish
-Heal Bell
-Return
-Covet
-Assist

291rs.png
@leftovers
lonely//cute charm
Calm Mind

Hidden Power*psychic*
Heal Bell

Ugh. Delcatty is more of a support poke. HB if you need, Return to feebly attack, Covet to steal, and Assist for funnage.

169rs.png
Crobat @Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Impish
-Mean Look
-Toxic
-Confuse Ray
-Fly

GSC comes back with an ability.

073rs.png

-Earthquake
-Bulk Up

The old standard, just with BB and BU.

332rs.png
Medicham (1) @Lum Berry
Ability: Pure Power
Nature: Adamant or Hardy or Quirky or Serious or Docile or Bashful
-Bulk Up
-Calm Mind
-Hi Jump Kick / Recover
-Baton Pass

Even with Pure Power giving it a 400+ attack, it's still used as a Baton Passer. HJK to take advantage of this, or Recover to not.

332rs.png
Medicham (2) @Lum Berry
Ability: Pure Power
Nature: Adamant
-Bulk Up
-Recover
-Hi Jump Kick
-Shadow Ball

Pure Power set. This is not a BPer, surprisingly. Thank you TTT.

313rs.png
Manectric @King's Rock
Ability: Static
Nature: Modest
-Thunderbolt
-Thunderwave
-Roar
-Bite / Crunch

Raichu vs. Manectric is also debated, but generally Manectric is favored because it has better Defenses. Bite for Flinching, or Crunch for power.

328rs.png
Plusle (1) @Leftovers
Ability: Plus
Nature: Modest
-Agility
-Thunderbolt
-Substitute
-Baton Pass

Because Plusle & Minun need to be together, I'm gonna do 1 Plusle, 1 Minun, and then them with 2-on-2 sets. This is a BPer to play around with.

329rs.png
Minun (1) @Leftovers
Ability: Minus
Nature: Modest
-Agility
-Thunderbolt
-Substitute
-Baton Pass

uh.... look familiar?

328rs.png
329rs.png
Plusle (2) / Minun (2)

Plusle Ability: Plus / Minun's Ability: Minus
Nature: Modest for Both

Plusle Set:
-Fake Tears
-Rain Dance
-Helping Hand
-Thunderbolt

Minun Set:
-Thunderwave
-Charge
-Thunder
-Charm

These rock for 2-on-2 battles. Plusle uses Fake Tears, Minun uses Charm or Thunderwave. Plusle uses Rain Dance, Minun uses Charge. Plusle uses Helping Hand, Minun uses Thunder. BAM. 120 (base) X 1.5 (STAB) X 1.5 (Minus-Plus combo) X 1.5 (Charge) X 1.5 (Helping Hand) X 1.1 (Magnet) = 668 BASE DAMAGE BEFORE FACTORING FAKE TEARS! *drools* Has nothing on grounds, though.

082rs.png

-Thunder
-Hidden Power *Water*

Magcargo @Leftovers
Ability: Fire Body
Nature: Docile or Hardy or Quirky or Serious or Bashful
-Flamethrower

296rs.png
Torkoal @Leftovers
Ability: White Smoke
Nature: Quiet

110rs.png
Weezing @Quick Claw
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Adamant
-Sludge Bomb
-Shadow Ball / Fire Blast
-Haze
-Explosion

Weezing-- another personal fave. Its only weaknesses is Psychic (Shadow Ball) and Steel (Fire Blast). If you could have 5 moves, you would see one of these on every team. Explode when you're finished.

327rs.png
Grumpig @Choice Band
Ability: Own tempo
Nature: Modest

Altaria @Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Adamant

Lunatone @Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Docile or Hardy or Quirky or Serious or Bashful
