Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How to beat the Deck above you...

Deck above is Dialga G/Leafeon/Metagross

Counter: Glaceon Lv.X/Rapidash

Score weakness on all 3, as well as lock Leafeon and Metagross powers

You realize that Glaceon has to be active to lock, right? So you can't both lock and abuse the deck's Fire Weakness...

Anyway...Deck above is Salamence (presumable from SF)

Counter is Lopunny(LA)/Sableye(SF) w/ (Weavile tech)

Use Sableye to either help set up or try an early donk on the Bagon/Shelgon as he sets up. While doing so, set up a Loppuny with 2 Dark (or Special Darkness) Energy. Once the Sableye is KOd, bring up Lopunny to 2HKO Salamence (or whatever happens to be up,) abusing the weakness to colorless or having Weavile change Lopunny to Dark to use two Special Darkness Energy if it is Bagon. Once the first Salamence or two have been felled, the rest should take too long to set up for there to be further issues.

Note: The Weavile tech in this deck is NOT intended for Salamence specifically, just to make the deck more realistic.

Deck above is Counter is Lopunny(LA)/Sableye(SF) w/ (Weavile tech)\
Counter is Salamence Blaziken w/ Geatran Lv X tech.

Between Blaziken and Salamence, you can tear through a good part of the deck for quite a while before you need to setup again. Blaziken Plat and Heatran also mean instant 20 damage.

Above: Blaziken/Salamence

Counter: Kingdra.

Speed outruns that pair and consistency is too much for the two. Plus, I'm sick of Salamence.

Is it ok to request we NOT get back to the point where people are trying to say that Salamence is the counter to everything? Or at least not allow someone to counter a deck with the deck that was countered by it. If you disagree with a deck counter, just say it and come up with something more creative...

Anyway...Deck above is straight Salamence...again.

Counter Deck is: Dusknoir/Uxie Lvl X

Use Dusknoir(SF) to snipe at support pokemon like Claydol. Let Salamence KO the Lvl X to help spread damage further. If Dusknoirs are not evolved yet, use Uxie Lvl X to hit Salamence while it needs 4 energy for its power attack.

Deck above is Dusknoir/Uxie

Counter: Glaceon Lock

No ectoplasm, no set up, no trade off and no shadow command. You lose all of your draw power, and are 2HKOed by avalanche

Above:Kingdra

Counter:Salamence

Salemence tanks kingdra while one shotting the beast.

I don't know how you envision that happening. Kindgra will almost always beat Salamance down before it even knew what happened. How about we go alone with the purpose of this thread and show some creativity.

Above Deck: Salamance
Counter: EmpoStar (2PT 1MD) w/ Diagla G Lv X & Spiritomb

Strategy: Digala G Lv X shuts off Sally's body, allowing time to build up. Using Empoleon to target the Pokemon they are setting up, you can get a lot of damage spread quickly, then drop Spiritomb and Omastar at appropriate times.

^^^ deck above is EmpoStar (2PT 1MD) w/ Diagla G Lv X & Spiritomb ^^

counter = Groudon / Regirock / Stark / Uxie / TM2

Strategy = T2 100 per turn and beyond. You've got nothing that will bring down the Groudon by T3. Then, it's just beat down. Poke Rescue , TSD, 4 Night Maintenance, and Great ball keeps the rain falling. Attach TM2 to uxie so he can devolve, and run away next turn.

COMMENT: What's Up with SALAMANCE?? I though it was an interesting choice the FIRST four or so times it came up... but.. .c'mon guys... we've NEVER seen that deck played seriously anywhere, much less being talked about like it's the BDIF ?

^^^ deck above is Groudon / Regirock / Stark / Uxie / TM2

Counter=Mewtwo lv X/Kabutops lock

Take out a few of you Groudon with Mewtwo Lv X then bring up kabutops to finish it off

^^Above deck is Groudon/Regirock/Stark/Uxie/TM2

^Above deck is Mew2 LV.X/Kabulock.

Counter: Shedinja/Skymin LV.X/ Lake Boundary

Strategy: Abuse weakness, put damage counters for being KO'd and everything else is cleaned up with Skymin LV.X's Poke-Body.

EDIT: Works the same for the above deck from Aros652. Abuse Weakness etc. etc. etc..

Above Deck: Shedinja/SkyminX/Lake Boundary

Counter: Blaziken(2 GE, 2 PT)/HeatranX/CressX

Strat:
Blaze GE snipes shedinja, or a combo of Clutch, burn, and Full Moon Dance can easily KO without taking 4 damage. SkyminX can be KO'ed in many ways, and lake boundary makes it even easier.

Deck Above is Kingdra.

Counter deck is: Ampharos(SW)/Rotom w/ Minun(SW)/Plusle(MD) tech

Use Rotom, Minun, & Plusle to set up and charge Ampharos, use Ampharos to spread damage across Kingdra's Bench and hit weakness of Active Kingdra. Spreading damage makes it much harder for the switched in Kingdras to survive Ampharos's Cluster Bolt.

Deck above is Ampharos SW with Rotom and Plusle an Minun. Counter is Mario (machamp with lucario) Use your fighting type against all those pokemon which have lightning weakness.

Above deck is Mario

Counter: Café Noir (Dusknoir Promo/Cresselia LV.X/Rotom/Sableye/Claydol/Unown G)

Strategy: Depending on what's build, have Unown G attached and hopefully send everything they need back to the deck while abusing Weakness.

Deck above me is Toxicroak G (presumably with some other G pokemon...)

Counter Deck: Gengar (SF) with 2-2 Banette(SW) tech

Strategy: Use Gengar's Shadow Room to snipe Skuntank G and Claydol, as necessary. Use Poltergeist when possible to abuse Weakness and take advantage of G decks nearly always having trainers and/or stadiums in hand. Use Banette's Ghost Head to finish off Skuntank or Claydol, as necessary. Banette's Spiteful Pain can be used to abuse weakness of Toxicroak, as well.

Above deck: Gengar SF/ Banette SW

Counter: Drapion SF/LV. X with Weavile SW and Crobat G techs

Strategy: Use a combination of weakness and Poison to KO Gengar safely. Crobat G to make sure that you are always right on the mark with Poison damage KO'ing. Weavile to speed attach Energy.

Above DeckDrapion SF/LV. X with Weavile SW and Crobat G techs

Counter: Manetric/Ampharos w/ Kabutops Tech

All cards have Powers, so this deck naturally counters it. Kabutops is to keep active when possible, stopping Crobat from going back to your hand, also helps with spread.
