A member 'reminded' me that turning on HTML in forums is dangerous. As such, I've turned it off in every place I could remember it being turned on, including the article and news forums. The ability to use HTML was always intended for the use of the leat topic author, not for the discussion posters.
That said, the system administration maxim would be to as much as possible limit your users to only the functions you intend them to have... turning on HTML was expedient when we opened the front page, but now we will turn it back off.
I'd appreciate your help with two items:
As to #1, I mean if you're talking with friends and someone has a funny idea, please share that with them. I will feel free after posting this to take full action to the limits of what I can do legally and ethically the next time something like this, even fairly harmless, happens.
