I think I got a rare card - not sure

So I have a German language Shining Magikarp from the Neo Revelation set. I heard these shining types are worth some $ but I'm a noob at this stuff and don't really know. It's a card from when I was a kid and it's in really good condition

1. Is it legit?

Yes Shining Magikarp is a nice find. The only down side to your card is that it is German. You'd have to find someone who collects German cards. I'd try eBay to sell it.
