Illogical Things You Thought As A Kid

My mom would call me a "night owl" because I always stayed up late, and I thought that meant I was literally turning into an owl.

Sigged. After I watched Thriller, I was scared to walk through hallways because I thought that a werewolf would start running through the halls trying to kill me.

i Thought that the red and white balls on the barriers in a public pool were full of baby sharks and if you touched it then you would get eaten by them

I also thought that if you drank toxic waste you would get super powers... But you die

This thread is golden and so is everything stated so far. Thanks porii

I was a very timid and nervous child so y2k scared the crap out of me. So did Santa, Jesus and the Easter bunny.

As a kid, I thought pidgeons were a type of chicken that did not live on the farm. Thus, to this day, I still call pidgeons "street chickens".

"Don't step on a crack or you'll break your mother's back"

Alternate endings include, "or you'll fall and break your back". Any others I didn't know about?

I thought that for the hand held version of the game "Battleship", a blindfolded man swung a huge hammer at a tarp to pick where he shot at on the map.

I always felt like I was the only one who hated C&H. I guess it;s cuz I never grew up with it.

Yeah... you have to have a really strange and sarcastic sense of humor to enjoy it.

IMO.

But I grew up with it, so IDK.

The main comics I like are that and FoxTrot.

Many years ago, I was watching my dad using some anti-virus software. I can't remember if there was or wasn't a virus, but there was a picture of a weird alien like thing. And from that day, I had thought viruses are actually little alien things (that look like the pic I saw) inside your computer and mess around with things such as motherboard etc. But I didn't really have any knowledge of that stuff back then. LOL.

i also used ot think that the endless stairway in sm64 did actuall lead somewhere, and ended up wasting a few hours just running up those stairs.
