Important States Information about Personal Belongings!!!

Hi everyone,
I posted this in another forum but I feel that it is important enough to post here. Here are a couple of ideas for keeping your belongings yours while having fun at a State Championship. First of all

NEVER LEAVE YOUR STUFF ANYWHERE!!

:pokeball: Only bring what you are willing to trade, and what you think others are willing to trade for.
:pokeball: I highly recommend a backpack that is strapped to you at all times. When playing a game, put one strap around your foot. So many players will get really involved and completely forget to pick up their bag after the game. If its wrapped around your leg you'll have to pick it up or fall! The same goes for those UltraPro binders with the straps. Keep them attached to you!
:pokeball: Bring extra card sleeves in case there is a question over one or two being "marked"
:pokeball: Bring extra cards for your deck in case one accidentally goes missing. You don't want to be stuck with a substituted energy card instead of a Zapdos EX!
:pokeball: Bring just enough money for lunch,a snack, and any side events that you plan on playing in. You don't want anyone to see that you're carrying a lot of cash. Most often there are ATM machines nearby if necessary.
:pokeball: Mark as much as you can with your name. Put your name on, or inside of, your deck box!! We get a lot of decks and markers turned into the scoring table and we can't get them back to you without proof of ownership. Sure, we can check the decklists but its a lot easier if you just label your stuff

I really hope we don't have problems this year, but its up to each of you to take care of your own property! Please let the Tournament Organizer or Head Judge know as soon as possible if something goes missing but understand that most likely you are NOT going to see it again.
If you find something that isn't yours, please bring it up to the scoring table, don't keep it! Think about how you would feel if the situation was reversed. We won't forget your honesty!!!

Bottom line, just look after your cards. Be careful, and count the number of cards in your deck requently, especially if you and your opponent have similar colored sleeves.

Wow, Now i'm glad the Navy taught me how to write my name on my underwear.

LOL
You wouldn't BELIEVE some of the stuff that has shown up at the scoring table. Maybe you wouldn't want us to know it was yours!

I can't imagine anything other than pokemon stuff, or purses, but then again, I haven't sat at the scorers table, yet. Good luck at State. Hope to see y'all in August.
