Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

in light of recent threads complaining about PTCGO

Mr. Finch has had a long association with the Pokemon brand, having been with WotC at the time they held the worldwide (outside of Japan) printing and distribution rights to the game.

i meant as a member of the team who takes care of PTCGO because there were a lot of people who were wondering who the people who work on the PTCGO are

What do you think we should thank them for? For finally fixing Eviolite, only 3 months after it was released? Good job!!

It is, however, nice that we finally get some response from the guys who are working on this... although it wasn't exactly the respone I was hoping for. "We're working really hard on this" and "final release at the end of the year" etc just don't cut it. I'd like some actual input on what they're currently working on. Which glitches are being taken care of? What's coming next (and when); tournaments or Challenge a friend? Etc.

well a thanks here and there would probably do more than i want this ,i want that ,that doesnt work, this doesnt work, etc.People should at least be grateful that the game is getting the problems fixed, not just focusing on the angles they think are important.

I wasn't taking away from what you said, just expanding on who Mr Finch is for those who aren't familiar with him.

i think it's an excellent post that should reassure us. This clearly indicates the PTCGO isn't going anywhere--that the company's support for the property isn't waning. That's excellent news.

Commitment can only take you so far. Until we see this supposedly second PTCGO improved version, no amount of 'we are committed' posts are going to sway me back into thinking the PTCGO has a future at all.

The japanese have there own version coming out soon.

Wonder how bad it'll smash our version.

link and source?i haven't heard of this yet.do you know if they have any previews of it and when it comes out for them?would be awesome to try and play on their site too.

Nothing can determine whether or not a proprietary product has a future except for the company that produces it, so I don't know how we can really demand anything above knowing that the company is working on making it the best they can.

"Later this year" sounds like it will be at least past June, possibly into the winter months before we see a significantly improved, mostly bug-free PTCGO. I guess the correct response is "better late than never", but I can't help but think another 6+ months of stagnant buggy play will ruin the PTCGO name for good in a lot of people's eyes. It's kind of a vicious circle when people aren't investing in the game because it's "broken", which means less money is being put in to fix it and more and more fans start to drop off. If the game is really going to be successful I think the higher-ups need to make a strategic decision to dump a lot of money into getting it off the ground fast before the game can truly flourish for the next decade. I've seen too many potentially great games die a slow death
