International differences

I'm trying to find out why there are so many differences in Rules, prize awards and ways to contant someone (yes even Floorrules are not followed) between the US organizers and the European ones.

There is a simple answer because Local distributor still don't get the proper information out of the US>
Or PUI agrees with everything the local distributor does.

It's 8 months after the start of international OP and the differences become bigger and bigger.
I can understand some differences, because some countries here are smaller than a state in the USA.
But I can't understand differences on Local level, and also why is PUI/POP announcing international CC, Nationals, SC or GC. Publishing prizeaward while non of the distributors is providing those.

Is it so hard to make proper arrangements?
Why are the few remaining gymleaders, professors still not heared?
Lots of arguments they mailed months ago are all become truth and the only thing you get back:

We will look over this to see this is not happening in the future. That sound as: mustard after the meal.
And as soon one issue if going to be "looked over" the next one appears.

Are international players asking to much if they want equal and correct OP?

Just a moment to stress a couple of ther latest issued had with our distributor in Italy:

I have a City Championship tomorrow, and thursday I received a call from the distributor, saying that they didn't received the boxed of italian EX Sandstorm to give us as prizes. I requested also some additional Charmander promos as we had more than 25 players (and I had only 25 of those). They were able to send me only the Charmander.
But today, when I was in my League store, I saw a box of italian EX Sandstorm plus a box of italian Sandstorm decks.
Am I fool, or there's something odd?

And you all know that kids are always unhappy if they can't see their prizes at the tournament. It's a different thing the deliver of VIP Packages at the next step of the "Tournament Escalation" in US. I'm talking about booster packs... That does exist and distributor lied about having them. They obiouvsly had them.
Why do they prefer to ship them to the winners instead of giving me the prizes directly?
Maybe because they had to send me also 2 boxes for support that they promised?

And then another cool issue, not directly linked with the distributor.
As I said in the POP Guidelines thread, we ran our 1st Gym Challenge (the 1st in the World, April 29th) giving out Charmander City Championships promos, instead of the correct Gym Challenge Promo (HL Beldum), cause "promos were still not printed". Hum... ok, I'll trust you.
In the same days, PUI staff were in Italy, cause the day after the tournament they had a meeting with our distributor, and 2 days before the tournament, they were in Venice for a European Meeting with a lot of details for the next Tournament Season. Then, today, the Penalty Guidelines appeared, just to know that they were sent to PTOs for Gym Challenges. And 1 of the "Game Loss" issues (that requested to be reported to PUI) was applied.
With a lack of Penalty Guidelines, we didn't know. And now?
Only because I'm not a PTO (though PUI with an error gave me for a couple of days to PTO functions) I didn't had these Guidelines, nor our distributor.

As the GC was presented also on the pokemon-tcg.com international page, why didn't they gave us all the support, and not only the Prize Packages and a big promotional banner?

Okay here is the list so far :

* League Kits - Incomplete and with a reduced number of promo cards
* OP promos - No new promos for Months yet cards are appearing on ebay
* City Challenges, Pre-releases and Regional Championships go unadvertised
* Leagues and OP go unadvertised
* No communication with PUI for Int'l Organisers
* No PTO status for Int'l Organisers regardless of experience or events run
* No respect shown by Distributors or PUI
* CCs run without medals

And I am sure there is a whole lot more I just can't remember :(

5 years on and Int'l OP is in a terrible state; it's even lower than WotC.

Giday

I've been confirmed by my local distributor as a PTO, yet i don't seem to be getting the same benefits.

Sure, i understand being outside USA means i probably won't get the payments ... but surely i could get the emails & other communication (Penalty Guidelines to name one instance).

It's bad enough i had to arranged & Advertise my own Nationals (complete with trip) with no financial assistance. The local distributor is providing the trip & supplied boosters, but i had to pay for everything else, including the boosters.

Guess who's now trying to pay all the bills when the players didn't turn out ... 34 players

That was probably the lowest turnout i've EVER had to a major tournament i've arranged. Previous lowest was 50 & that was the TMTA Pre Release in March.

The first conclusion is simple.
It's going wrong at the roots (read in the USA)

I can't understand that a big company is having contracts with foreign companies without having hard demands regarding how OP should be set up.
They can sue a private person who uses a picture of one of the pokemons on a website and they can't correct of guide a company?
They are willing to put laywers on a first april joke and not on misusing OP materials, come on.
