Introducing LV. Y

ArceusRules

New Member
With the new Pokémon games X and Y coming out in October, I thought of LV. Y. These are much like LV. X, but way better and more powerful. This the same situation where if people are using EXs, everyone else will use them too. Well, if people use LV. Y, everyone will use LV. Y.

The thing is has in common with LV. X

LV. X, you can use previous attacks, Poké Powers and Pokébodies on the card under the LV. X

LV. Y is the same way, but with Abilities instead of Poké Powers and Pokébodies

Difference it has with LV. X

LV. X only allows you to level up on your Active Pokémon.

LV. Y allows you to level on your bench too.

LV. Y Rules:

LV. Y has a set amount of HP. Once the amount of HP hits 0, the Pokémon gets leveled down. Your opponent then takes a prize card. Then of course, if the Pokémon that got leveled down loses all it's HP, it's knocked out and of course your opponent gets a prize. So it's similar to EXs where your opponent can get 2 prizes off of it. But it's harder to 1 shot, unless it's another LV. Y.

One a Pokémon gets leveled down, you can't level it up again to another LV. Y. You'll just have to level up a different Pokémon of the same name.

Damage dealt to the LV. Y can be passed onto the Pokémon underneath. For example, if you dealt 90 damage and the LV. Y only had 80 HP left, the Pokémon levels down and the additional 10 Damage goes onto the Pokémon underneath.

LV. Y attacks are NOT affected by attacks used on the LV. Y. For example:

Bouffalant's Bouffer Ability can block 20 damage from the Pokémon under the LV. Y. But if you use the attack on the LV. Y, Bouffalant will take the full damage.

Some LV. Y's will be a different Type than the Pokémon you level them up from. This makes it possible for them to be Dual Type!

Without further ado, LV. Y.

I don't think I'll be using a Shuckle or a Slowbro, as they are not popular enough as Pokémon. I can, however, do a Charizard, Lucario, T-Tar and Hippowdon.

Interesting concept. ..Might induce confusing since you need to keep track of what pokemon was de-leved. Limit of Pokemon Lv. Y is like Lv X?

You may have rushed those Hippowdon a bit :p The first one is marked Stage 2 (Hippowdon is stage 1) and has a 4 :colorless: resistance with no retreat cost. The second one, presumably meant to be Lv. Y, isn't marked as such.

In the same way you need to keep track of which Pokémon you just played when it comes to evolving. For example, you could have 2 Tynamo on your bench, but only be able to play an Eel on 1, because you just played the 2nd Tynamo during that turn.

Fixed. Thanx.

Gengar is up.
