Challenge: Four of Each Legend Maker Fossil
// Pokemon: 14
4 Poliwag UF
4 Poliwhirl RG
4 Politoed ex
2 Nosepass DX
// Energies: 14
10 Water Energy
4 Holon Energy WP
// Trainers: 32
4 Mysterious Fossil
4 Claw Fossil
4 Root Fossil
3 Battle Frontier
3 Steven's Advice
2 Copycat
3 TV Reporter
3 Prof. Elm's Training Method
3 Great Ball
3 Fluffy Berry
On to The Pokemons:
a 4-4-4 line of politoed ex to have it out ASAP.
Nosepass deserves a place in this deck due to it's power:
Magnetic Reversal - Once during your turn (before your attack), if Nosepass is your Active Pokemon, you may flip a coin. If heads, switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon with 1 of the Defending Pokemon. Your opponent choose the Defending Pokemon to switch. This power can't be used if Nosepass is affected by a Special Condition.
Onto the energies:
10 water and 4 Holon WP. Last ones are needed for politoed ex, so it cannot be hitted while it's benched by pokemons like medicham (pure power).
Onto the Trainers:
12 fossils: are needed to send them up after "Punch and running" (politoed's second attack).
Battle frontier is the bester stadium i could thought of for this deck. It stops colorless, dark and metal evolved pokemons poke powers. And it's a good counter stadium (does not benefit any other deck)
8 drawing cards are needed, you need to draw into as many fossils as you can and there is no way to search for them.
3 PETM to look for the evos ASAP and 3 great ball to look up for Poliwags in the first turns, and to look up for Nosepass when politoed is fully charged.
3 Fluffy berries are for nosepass, i'll explain it's use in the strategy.
Strategy:
Build up a politoed and charge it with 3 energies as fast as you can.
Afterwards you can start Punching and running and send up a fossil so you won't get damaged.
The next step is to get out a nosepass with a fluffy berry attached to it.
Now on, after you Punch and run, send up a fossil. you opponent will ko your fossil.
Instead of sending up Politoed again, send up your Nosepass with a fluffy berry attached to it. Use its power, retreat for free, send up politoed and:
1. punch and run and send up a fossil.
2. upward lick (if you want to snipe the bench, supposing you have just "magnetic reversaled" a pokemon with a huge retreat cost).
3. swallow up, supposing you have just "magnetic reversaled" a dangerous or important pokemon for their decks to keep on going (pidgeot or a charged spining tail ttar for example).
Then you can go on on doing this every turn and not letting your opp draw a prize. =)
WOaaa i'm very happy i made it to the finals, thanx for all.

Deck (7/10): A good list, but not without its unpleasant tastes: I think both Battle Frontier and PETM should have been maxed, and because Holon WP cannot work on a Politoed ex, some other type of energy could have been played instead, and with better results. I know how it can be nice to have on a Poliwhirl, protecting itfrom ATM (Rock), but it won’t help like that often.
Creativity (3/5): Way to take a pre-existing Deck, and add a unique twist to it! Nosepass/Reversal is very, very neat, so congratulations on that
Card Use (3/5): This deck’s Card Use is pretty solid. Good job…could have been taken further, though!

Ok...Fossils...Ughh my weak point..But thats what make good deck builders..is the ability to overcome your weaknesses.
Here goes. Ill jus highlight the important cards and explain why I chose them.
4x Each Fossil ( Legend Maker ): Well these are the deck requirements. 'Nuff Said
Cradilly: Hmmmm Interesting card when combo-ed correctly. Well the reason I chose Cradilly as one of my attackers is that it has a great 1st & 2nd attack. "Devolution Wave" is great in its self in addition with fossils. The Fossils allow me to sat long enough to get the Cradily(s) built. Devolution wave is great becasue it takes the highest evolution of one of your opponents Pokes for each React NRG attached to him. This attack combo-ed with Bannete-ex and Cradily's Linear Attack for 30 to any poke just makes the deck dangerous as it can get rid of any poke on the field.
Bannette-ex: Bannete-ex's Shady Move poke-power was too tempting for me to pass up. I mean come on. Being able to move your damage to your opponent's poke is AWESOME. Combo-ed with Rainbow nrg, Desert Ruins, and Cradily's 2 attacks this card becomes very dangerous. Its attack to is not bad, especially mid-to-late game when you have supporters in the discard pile. After testing it has been averaging at least 50-90 damage consistantly, and for 2 NRG no lee. Plus Bannete-ex gets under the Ruins .
PETM: Search to get those Bannete-exs and also the evos of the Cradiliy line.
Mysterious Cave: The 1 Mysterious Cave in there just in case I need it. I didnt want to be mainstream and add 4 becasue I thought that Desert Ruins would be a better bet epecially with Bannete and Cradily's poke-power and attack.
Desert Ruins: I chose desert ruins with Politoed-ex in mind. I want to be able to do as much damage/disruption to Politoed-ex as possible.
Swoop: To be able to get the Shuppets when needed, and gives me a little more versatility in the basics I want. Granted only 3 basics I can get, but I need to be able to get them when wanted right ?
Scott: I am in the habit of including just one in each deck I make. So why stop now, eh ? Anyways this card is great when you are using multiple stadiums and for all the supporter cards. Also its a supporter itself so it helps towards Bannete-ex's great attack.
ATM Ice: OK! This card is what breaks the mirror match wide open into my favour. It discards ALL of your opponents trainer cards that are in play, including Fossils. Wow talk about a back breaker to all the other fossil decks that im competing against.
Rainbow NRG: To put damage on myself so that I can move it to my opponents pokes.
React NRG: For the Cradily to use its devolution wave.
Thats about it.
Thanks Iron Chef
~Clay~”
Deck (7/10): For what you are trying to do, I like the list considerably. I only one big beef beef…there’s no switching at all to get out Banette in order to use its power, because it only works while the Banette is active. Although that deeply affects the way the deck is ran (3/3 banette line, etc), this list pretty much has a lot of the stuff that it would need. Looks very consistent, and even the one copy of Strange Cave works just fine!
Creativity (4/5): This is a very neat way to not only take Fossils, but Cradily as a whole. All of your cards work very well with it, and compliment this deck’s themes greatly.
Card Use (3/5): I think that usage is done well: Rainbow energy can be attached to a Root Fossil and healed, or the counter can be moved via Banette ex. Cradily also slowly pinging away at things (and rocking them) is great, too. However, it’s very clunky, in that you need switching to make Banette work, and well…it’s not there.
