Espeon and Gardevior will actually get a +10 overall boost with double rainbow attached. Oh and guess what, it says whenever it does damage to the DEFENDING pokemon. Lets say I attach this to a cacturne turn two and start doing 40 to the bench over and over again lol.

Yeah but does that put Armaldo or non-holo Flygon into one of the top decks? Espeon, Gardevoir and Cacturne all benefit more from Boost. Cacturne, Espeon and Wailord all seem like techs put into many decks to combat others. Wailord for Blaziken, Espeon for Gard/Ex/Wobbuffet. For these guys I see Boost as better since they're usually just going in for the final attack. Yeah D-Rainbow can help these decks but does it make them good enough to compete with Blaziken/Rayquaza, Godevoir, Amphy ex, and Aggron ex? That is why I don't think it is as game changing as some people might think.

The numbers I've heard are 80 and 90 with 44 of the cards being reprints. Which leads me to believe Nintendo is fixing to rotate the last of the Wizards cards out.

I am thinking around 100 since most of the other sets had that many. We will know for sure in a couple of weeks when the PTOs get there info on the set and product for the Prerelase. Im sure by the first one on March 6th everone will be posting what is in the set.

At first I thought Double Rainbow would be a huge card for the format but lately I've been thinking, what current decks can really use this? Most big decks right now are based on using ex's to attack so Double Rainbow is useless.

The Double Rainbow could be used with the new Wigglytuff EX that is coming out in the future.

Sorry GLBlaine,

But the double raindow energy cannot be put on any EX pokemon or basic pokemon for that matter. If it attached, say like to a Kirila(which is an evolved pokemon, so it is okay) then you evolve it to a Gardy EX, then the double raindow gets discarded.

: (

The one reason I see this doing better than boost is because you can lay this and next turn it won't go away. Sure boost can be attached to any evolution, but at the end of the turn, it is gone. DRE stays on forever, and is a fast way to get powered up. And remember, bench attacks are not lowered by DRE because of the translation. Maybe it will be when the english version comes out.

I don't see double rainbow helping any of the current decks either, execpt that turbo salamence deck that came out, and maybe flygon. Gardy doesn't need it because it only adds 10 damage to the attack, since it also reduces damage by 10, plus you have to account for the gardy ex, and an evolved wobby can't OHKO a rayquaza with it on, assuming a crystal shard.

DRE says whenever the pokemon it is attached to becomes basic or EX, discard it. So putting it on a kirlia, and evolving it into gardevior EX would make it discard.

:( that is okay I didnt want to use the card anyways :( No Im not crying I just have something in my eye ;)

oh yeah, your right venusaur. Oh great, another card that makes gardevior better. Wait for the gym that says whenever a psychic pokemon attacks, dont apply resistance. Is TPC trying to make gardevior stronger and stronger? Luckily BAR is around, or the whole metagame would be more corrupt than it already is.

Use DRE on dusclops (sp?), that ghost type pokemon, and since its attack says to put damage counters, I guess the damage won't get reduced. DRE can also be used in a dragon magneton deck. The card powers up dragon gyarados quickly too, 70 damage without applying resistance is good.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, nice combo there! You could do both effects!
