My and my crew that are driving to nats the next day spend the night at my friends house and pull an all nighter testing. I Decide to go with Kingdra Cincinno because I have too much balls. My friend Vancent plays MewGar, Pete plays Donchamp/reshiram, Hunter plays Lostgar. Seats in the car are decided by who wins Mario party 5?? I am faced with the perfect opportunity to get a star against donkey kong, all I have to do is roll a higher number than him and he just rolled a 1 so there's a 90% chance I'll get the star... I roll a 1 and ragequit, accepting my backseat spot for the duration of the 7 hour ride. During the car ride we get to listen to Juke Box Hero and It lifts me out of my deep depression over being squeezed into the worst seat in the car, especially because the bass in the car was ridiculous. Soooo we finally get to Indy and we go straight to the convention center while my friends dad takes our stuff to the hotel. I play a couple games with my deck and I draw dead hands but I have too much balls to be afraid about that. I just throw in some more consistency and stuff and we head back to the hotel. While I was at the hotel I was thinking of things I should put in my deck as techs but I fell asleep too early to change anything. When I wake up its already 7:30 - 8:00 so I cant change my deck, we get to the convention center, I fill my list out because I lost my list that I got at registration turn it in and get ready to GG bro some people.
Round 1: Gabriel B w/ Yanmega/Plume/Pluff/Sunflora
He goes first with a great hand, I get a pretty bad hand. He gets T2 plume and im screwed from there, I have to topdeck a PONT just to stay in the game, its pretty bad, I lose.
That sucks.

I just get T2 Kingdra and sweep him.

Round 3: Vancent K w/ MewGar
So before the game I say goodluck and he calls me a topdecking scrub, that may come back to haunt him..But he's my friend and it sucks to be playing him when there's like a hundred other people we both could've played.
I go first setup a T2 cincinno he gets the T1 see off, I play cincinno, knock the mew out and we just trade prizes/LZ's until the most critical point in the game where I hit his Gengar Prime for 80 and he retreats, seekers and plays gastly back down and then hurls 1 poke from my hand with mew. I have 1 reversal in hand and I know I have to kill the gastly that turn because that was his 4th or 5th pokemon in my LZ and I cant OHKO a gengar prime and I was sure he had rare candy. So I draw and the topdeck is...another pokemon reversal! Cool. I flip the first one...tails second one...heads bring up the gastly and kill it with cincinno for my 5th prize. He brings up mime Jr. tries sleepy lost and doesnt get a pokemon and wakes up which is game. GG vancent

He goes first and thats basically game, he gets to setup faster than me and snipe my bench before I can evolve it with T2 yanmega and kingdra. GG I suppose.
I suck at this game.

Round 5: John M w/ I wanna say donphan dragons?
I dont remember who went first but it didnt matter because my hand was terrible, he just sweeps me.

I go meet my frands in the league area and play a fun game with Jimmy McClure, He's pretty cool. I end up beating him BTW ;P.
Anyway we go back to the hotel, then go to the food court at the mall to get some food, come back to the hotel play melee and learn some japanese then go to bed at like 3:00 am. We wake up thinking the rounds start at 9:00 like yesterday.. it was actually 8:30, we cut it really close but we barely get there on time like 4 minutes after the round started.
Round 6: ??? w/ Cleffa
I Tyrogue Donk. T1 rule is dumb.
Not a fun way to win.

Not a fun way to lose. Im out of top cut but im supposed to help vance's resistence.

He lucksacks on flips with mime jr and I flip tails a whole bunch with cleffa when you always want to wake up against lostgar. When I wake up I end up benching him out eventually.

Round 9: ??? w/ Zekrom Yanmega
I forget most of this game but its a back and forth prize trade and i basically win by rules lawyering because he declared linear attack when he didn't have the same number of cards in hand as me. I didn't feel great about rules lawyering but I did it for Vance no h-o-m-o, who went from 2-3 to 6-3 and still had a chance at top cut.

This years nats was really fun although I scrubbed out and played a terrible deck and went 5/4. Most my friends did pretty well except for Pat who sucks and went 4/5. Jared 6/3 wiffed, noah 6/3'd but got the regs byes which gave him amazing resistence so he cutted. Vance went 6/3, Pete went 5/4. Brit T32'd.. uh idk.
