So before HGSS I played LuxChomp, so needless to say HGSS-on left me wondering what i was going to play. I understand everyone and their mom is playing some kind of Boar deck so i decided to go in a different direction because I already had 3 Kingdra Primes in my binder so i spent 25 bucks and reshaped KingBuzz.

:water:KING:water::dark:BUZZ:dark:

Pokemon 23
4-3-4 (3 Kingdra Prime 1 Kingdra UL 17)
3-3 Mandibuzz
2-2 Zoroark
2 Elekid

T/S/S 24
4 Pokemon Communications
4 PONT
3 Rare Candy
2 Pokemon Collector
2 Judge
2 Junk Arm
2 Switch
2 Energy Exchanger
2 Prof Elm Training Method
1 FSL

Energies 13
4 :water:
2:dark:
4 Special :dark:
3 :colorless::colorless:

Strategy
The obvious strategy is to start off with elekid to get spread damage around while being a nuisance and staying alive. Eventually get Mandibuzz active with a couple kingdra's on the bench and start taking out basics and puting a constant 60-80 around wherever i want. Zoroark does very well at revenge killing things like reshiram. I have very good spead at the moment with this build I have no problem getting multiple kingdra's out with mandibuzz. Kingdra UL is good against fire decks.

open to any thoughts

i made a similar thing the other day, except i went with ampharos due to the fact that it puts one damage where an energy is, which is somewhat like kingdra but i dont get a choice, but i like the fact is discards energy, or does 80 dmg. so it either does 40 dmg +10 dmg next turn and wastes a turn of them getting energy on bench, or does 80 dmg. and i went with a low energy cost deck too, i put a crobat prime line in for the fun of it. maybe a smeargle to steal a collector or other supporters, i dont like baby pokemon due to the many ways to get around them now

What i would do is..

- 1 FSL

the reasion being is it puts it in your deck not your hand, meaning, you will have to use another card to get them cards back out...possibly wasting 2 turns with supporters

+ 1 J Arm

reason being, J arm is a really good staple being able to discard to get another trainer... just think.. you have horsea benched and u need a rare candy but dont have 1.... but you used 1 a couple turns ago to get another kingdra set up...just J arm it out and there you go :)

Hope i helped :p

thanks, but yea i think im going to put in energy returner or something because, i have a trouble sometimes with energies being in the discard
also i do agree with the J Arm statement

I would drop 1 Judge for a Copycat. If you're going up against decks like Emboar, that have Ninetales, they will always have a huge hand size. It may come in handy if you need a lot of cards too.

Just a suggestion though ;) Nice deck all around too!

thanks yea i was actually carrying 2 copycats in my deck before, but i took one out and added a 4th PONT and the other for a 2nd junk arm... the thing about judges is, if the other play has a huge hand judge kinda works in my favor

This si one of those probably duh its too early to think moments, but why do we see people looking to kingdra to deal with fire types, I knwo its not from his attack. I do see where his power is helpful for mandibuzz but other than that it looks like a baby snipe deck. The zorok is a nice touch though.

Kingbuzz is a very fast deck where i can get at least one kingdra and a mandibuzz to deal sniping damage not just for babies in the beginning of a game

Here is my view of this deck. The concept works, but the problem is there is only one atacker that has more than 100hp is the Kingdra-UL, and, with pluspower, Reshiram can OHKO it, and the kingdra(prime) is not help against it. The deck is mostly weak to lightning-type, which means Speed Zekrom matchup is unfortunate. It is not a bad idea, but Mandibuzz just does not have the HP to be a main attacker, and neither does Zoroark. if everything goes idealy, than this deck can take on most Emboar decks, but that is only in an ideal set up, with the opponent starting poorly. On the note of the copycats, personally, i would leave judge, because the niinetail deck hands are massive, and that is the point. The hands are massive, so they can aleays have what they need. A player may think this is nice, but copy that hand, while speeding you up, doe snot slow the oppent down, judge starts them all over again.

I agree with your statement. I understand most pokemon in this deck are fragile. This deck is designed for early/middle game. Late game is where it gets tough and I have playtested many hours with this deck to realize this. But it can also swing in my favor late game, taking out weak bench and such. But higher HP pokemon I do have a problem with

Looking at this deck i feel like going second could be devastating.. how does it actually run when you dont go first?

Also how often do are you able to get multiple kingdra primes out?
just wonderin.

also how oftendo you have a T2 setup with the kingdra and mandibuzz?

I have to be careful because I like starting with elekid because by turn 2 i almost always have at least 1 mandibuzz with an energy ready to snipe. So if i go second i can maybe get donked with an elekid start and or have a slow start if i start with something like zorua or vullaby because its attack can do nothing and than evolving to mandibuzz is useless.

I usually have 2 Kingdra Primes on the bench sometimes 3... But almost always 1-2

Turn 2 kingdra/mandibuzz... its hard to really look back and judge... Id say it like this.... I am not surprised when i have t2 kingdrabuzz

what is best about the deck is, its fun

It really looks fun to play with and against. I am slightly dismayed that so many people are running fire decks right now because i really want to be running Serperior-reuniclus which could be a really fun deck to use if fire didnt one hit the whole thing. although it could be an awesome counter against this deck.

If they set up a zone it's basicly game over

I think if you add one more UL then you can fight back some more, and the Zoroark can help CAN help you, but let's hope you get going before they do.
