Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Kirby Super Star! Wheee!

Hi! I'm back (again, and I'm attempting to stay), so I'll figure I'll start with making some cards based off of a super-fun SNES game, Kirby Super Star!

Kirby
60 HP / Colourless

PokePower: Copy
Choose a Basic Pokemon card from your hand, and place it on Kirby. The Pokemon is considered a Pokemon Tool. Kirby gains all attacks on that card, as well as that card's Type, Weakness and Resistance. You may discard the card at any time.

Inhale, Exhale 10 (C,C)
Deal 10 damage to one Benched Pokemon of your choice.

Food Up (C,C)
Discard as many Trainer Cards as you like from your hand. Remove 1 Damage Counter from Kirby for each Trainer Card discarded.

---

Buggzy
110 HP / Fighting

Grab (C)
You must use Grab before using any of this card's attacks.

Toss 20 (F,F)
Switch the Defending Pokemon this card's attack is used on with one of your opponent's Defending Pokemon.

German Suplex 40 (F,F,F)

Air Grab (F)
When you next attack, do not apply a Fighting Resistance.

Quick Stomp 10+ (F,F,F,F,F)
Flip 7 coins. Quick Stomp does 10 damage plus 10 damage for each heads flipped.

---

More later, I'm gonna go check out what I missed.

OK. My turn.

T.A.C
(C)
Basic Pokemon
60 HP
Weakness: (F)
Resistance: N/A
Retreat Cost: N/A

(C)(C) Long Punch
Choose one of your opponent's Pokemon. This attack does 20 damage to that Pokemon.

(C)(C) Copy Ability
Choose one of the Defending Pokemon's attacks. As long as T.A.C. remains in play, replace Copy Ability with that attack.

T.A.C. is uber cool, probably one of the best buddies in the game. Anyway.

[/B]Sir Kibble
40 HP / Colorless

Blade Toss 20 (C)

Final Cutter 60 (C,C,C,C,C)
Final Cutter does 20 damage to a Benched Pokemon.

Weakness: F
Resistance: P -30
Retreat: (C,C)

---

Plasma Wisp
40 HP / Lightning

Static (C)
Put X Charge counters on Plasma Wisp, where X is the number of Lightning Energies on Plasma Wisp

Vairable Shot 10+ (C,C,C)
Varible Shot does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Charge Counter on Plasma Wisp. You may only do up to 30 extra damage in this way. Remove one Charge counter from Plasma Wisp for each ten points of damage above ten, or this attack does nothing.

Weakness: F
Resistance: G -30
Retreat: none

---

Does it seem like Variable Shot is a bit messy? Does anybody have any advice on how to reword it?

Try this:
(C)(C)(C) Variable Shot 20+
You may remove up to 3 Charge counters from Plasma Wisp. This attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each Charge Counter removed in this way.

You'll notice the mechanic and damage changed.

On Static, try it this way:
(C) Static
For each Lightning Energy on Plasma Wisp, put a Charge counter on Plasma Wisp.

And now, more of my own contributions:

Waddle Dee
(C)
50 HP
Weakness: (F)
Resistance: N/A
Retreat Cost: (C)

(C) Charged Beam 10+
If Waddle Dee has exactly 2 Energy attached to it, this attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage. If Waddle Dee has exactly 3 Energy attached to it, this attack does 10 damage plus 40 more damage. If Waddle Dee has at least 4 Energy attached to it, this attack does 10 damage plus 60 more damage.

Knuckle Joe
(F)
60 HP
Weakness: (P)
Resistance: N/A
Retreat Cost: (C)

(F) Vulcan Jab 10X
Flip 3 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.

(C)(C) Smash Punch 40
Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing.

I think I'll make a couple more cards for this, including a Trainer.

Warp Star
Trainer

Flip a coin. If heads, put 2 damage counters on the Defending Pokemon. If tails, switch your Active Pokemon with one of your Benched Pokemon. You may only play one Warp Star per turn.

Blade Knight
(M)
60 HP
Weakness: (R)
Resistance: (G)
Retreat Cost: (C)

(C) Sword Beam
Flip a coin. If heads, choose one of your opponent's Pokemon and do 20 damage to it.

(M)(M)(C) Sword Combo
Flip 2 coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads. Then, flip 3 more coins. This attack does 10 more damage for each heads.

Bonkers
(C)
70 HP
Weakness: (F)
Resistance: N/A
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)

(C)(C) Hammer Pound 30

(C)(C)(C)(C) Hammer Uppercut 60
Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent switches the Defending Pokemon with one of his or her Benched Pokemon. If tails, this attack does nothing (not even damage).

Simirror
(P)
60 HP
Weakness: (P)
Resistance: N/A

(P) Mirror Cutter 10X
Flip three coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.

(P)(P) Mirror Guard
If Simirror is attacked during your opponent's next turn, flip a coin. If heads, do the final result of that attack to the Pokemon that attacked Simirror instead of Simirror. Apply this effect before applying any other effects of an attack.

Now, a couple of TM's for some of the one-shot Powers.

Chef Kawasaki

Attach Chef Kawasaki to one of your Pokemon in play. At the end of your turn, discard Chef Kawasaki. The Pokemon Chef Kawasaki is attached to may use this attack instead of its own:

(C)(C) Cook
Remove a number of damage counters from your Pokemon equal to the number of Pokemon your opponent has in play.

Scarfy
Technical Machine

Attach Scarfy to one of your Pokemon in play. At the end of your turn, discard Scarfy. The Pokemon Scarfy is attached to may use this attack instead of its own:

(C)(C)(C)(C) Crash
This attack does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Pokemon.
