League transfers possible?

I've been playing unofficially at a game shop for a while, and the shop owner applied to be a league just to get things rolling. This has now come through, but of course this has made him the league leader. We're happy for me to run the league, as Pokemon is not his game. I could do this just as a prof, but I'd prefer it to be my league. Anyone know if they can be transferred?

I haven't looked into this much yet, as it only surfaced as a problem today, but I'm sure it has happened before. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction?

Ask him to appoint you as a League Leader. He can do this from his League account.

As far as the League ownership, if this is what you are meaning, this is something that he would have to email POP about doing. Usually this only happens when a store is transfered from 1 owner to another.

Hope this helps.

Do you have a venue that you are responsible for? Thats probably the primary difference between a League Leader and a League owner.

As EeveeLover says the League Owner can add League Leaders and give them the ability to
  • Add users
  • Report/Order
  • Edit the League information.
which allows you to do everything. Even change the shipping address for materials!

Ah that sounds right. I was thinking that a shop league ought to be tied to the shop as well as the leader, but didn't know how it would work. Do you happen to know what page he can add a league leader? Those pages are very yellow, and of course I can't see them to tell him where to go. Also does that mean either of us can do the administration, like registering the POP ID booklet?

Hmm... excellent. All regular stuff can be posted to the store, all POP4 boosters must be sent to my home for approval XD

Thanks for your help guys, I knew someone would know how :)

PS Yay for the Uk's newest league!

click on the active League which opens up The League details.

click on edit to the right of Leaders.

Then have him add your pop id, you will then get an email asking if you want to be a LL which you accept. I can't remember if the League Owner then has to turn on all the priviledges or if they default to all on.

The LO will have to turn on the priviledges. As a LL you would not be able to register POP ID booklets that he orders, but you will be able to order them as well.

If he is not interested in the admin side of the League, you can do all of that, once you have the ability.

The email might get snagged by a junk / spam filter, so check there as well.

I just wanted to say I'm in the same situation as you, Stef, so this helped me out too! Good luck with all the sugar-high kids! ;)

I had the same problem, and once I e-mailed PUI about the problem in my area, and after I turned 18, I was changed to the Owner of the League. The problem was that the previous Owner really didn't care about the game, and refused to get a My Pokemon account, thus our League was "Inactive" and all of that...
