Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Library of Competitive Decks: DP-UL *Updated with new sets and set abbreviation key!*

^ he did say it wasn't done yet, im sure there are more decks to be added later.

This update makes me very happy :)
Though I would have mentioned the fact that Speedrill is dying down in popularity. And also a Cursegar line would be nice. But overall, good job.

Very good job LL, btw most SP decks run 2-3 Radar as opposed to 3-4. But again, thanks for doing this.

Steelix is fun, however, it is not a winning tournament archetype.

He's tournament decks that are, consistently winning tournaments across the world.

Good sir I play in masters, and i went 5-1 making top cut as the number 1 seed it was a top 8 i beat my first round opponent (Shino bug master) and proceeded to lose on time in the third game against lux chomp in t4. I gave my list to a friend of mine in hist first year in seniors he as well made top 4 in the same tournament. This by the way was the largest CC of the year numbers wise 100+ players. I beat 3 lux chomps in swiss. I think its pretty good :)

Minor Update to Library Completed 8/1/10

Okay, a minor update fixing a few things the people who kindly posted here mentioned. Replies to the posters as follows:

Shino Bug Master: Shuckle thing taken into consideration. Dialga up soon.

Arcanite: Your welcome! SP tech list updated. Can't believe I forgot Toxicroak G promo.

Varna: GG section is being written.

jo3bro: Thanks! CurseGar line has been added (thanks very much gallade!)

nnaann: Your welcome! SP engine line updated.

wally: Thanks, but could you specify what kind of LuxTool you mean? Do you mean a Luxray GL Lv.X rush deck with techs like Honchkrow G (similar to the one that placed 1st in one of the divisions in the world championships) or just an SP toolbox with a Luxray GL Lv.X line? Thanks for your input.

Team Rocket Prodigy: Before I could consider adding Steelix (I haven't heard of Steelix being played very heavily anywhere and I haven't heard of it winning anything), could you please provide like a sample strategy and pokemon line, just to see what's going on in the deck? I haven't had much experience with a competitive Steelix deck before - your further input would be greatly appreciated.

R_A: A thread in the C: SRCQ forum only becomes a thread when R_A posts in it!

gallade: Thanks for your input with the CurseGar line, and thanks for taking the time to PM me.

Shiny Noctowl: Yeah, I was tossing and turning over adding Salamence. To me, the deck is not as good as some people think it is and it hasn't done that well during the cities (I don't think so anyway). Do other people think that Salamence should be added to the Library?

And again, thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Library so far and thanks for the members who continue to support it.

Many thanks,

LL

^The problem with Salamence is that, it really isn't a deck. Some people play it like a bulky BlastCatty, but not everyone does. It's got too many varients, and none of them are standard enough to mention.

the discarding can be too much to handle and makes the deck slow down immensely.
BlastCatty is a more legitimate deck than Salamance imo.

I think in the beginning of the SP decks section it should be mentioned that most (somewhere around 95%) SP decks are very difficult to play.

why would you need to put a special disclaimer for SP decks, as if they were more difficult to play than other decks?

thats not needed at all

the point of the article is to elucidate about the decks, not interject opinions on the actual subjective 'difficulty' of operating or creating such a deck, right?
