therage, stop being a begfriend.

i LOVED watching everyone bash this deck, then having adam come on and the tides COMPLETELY turning.

L<3fonte!

yep now that its revealed this was invented by a LAFONTE member, the opinion's completely changed!

And please don't compare this to Mario, as there IS strategy/synergy behind Carlos and Adam's deck.

I actually lost to this on appr. The synergy is there you just have to focus a bit to see it, if the deck gets set up it is very hard to beat.

don't worry my friend, i understand the point of this. i did the same, but with soosowoodo/machamp. it got a good response, which was worrying.

i love ripping it out of mario. keep it up friend :thumb:

Yeah, so I go to 3 BR's with the B Blissey DIF, and I go a total of 9 and 4( 2 losses in swiss, and 2 in a two top cuts). All four losses were to this deck.
Now this deck has gone on to sweep 3 BR's. 2 in Nashville, and 1 in Memphis.

Just so you guys know, how good this deck (more-so the player) really is.

That list is about ten cards off, but it's pretty close to mine. I'm just happy I got 3 VMs and a TSD out of it, lol.

I considered Bronzong-or whatever it is called- because of the +20 HP, Metal Type, not needing an energy to initiate the power, solid attack and the fact that the basic cannot be T1'd by Riolu... but in the end, Energy Draw IMO overshadows all of the above.

The deck is Clunky and has its weaknesses, but I really like it. Does well against Blissey :)

your deck is ceraainly atracting a lot of attention - but for how crap it is - lol - but did this guy really win with it

No joke..He won 3 Battleroads with it..the 3rd against great competition--David C, Colin M, Adam M, and Nick M. All have won major tournaments in the past and all have competed at Worlds.

And guys...its not really a Lafonte deck...I doubt anyone other than his brother ever saw the deck before Carlos put it into play. If thinking it is a Lafonte deck helps give it credibility, then refer to my previous post.

I can see how folks are a bit wary of this kind of deck after the Claydol EX fiasco, but this is a really deck and has results to prove it.

i dont get it :(
someone fill me in here?

if you mean the strategy of the deck..heres what i see

gyrados has the enrage attack.
causing him to get confused whenever you flip tails.
so magnezone giving gyrados free retreat, causes gyrados to lose the special condition when he retreats.
also, giving gyrados the free retreat, means he can come up later on in the game and hit a flail for ALOT of damage or hit another enrage to disrupt your opponents hand if you can get heads.
also, from what i see, letting your opponent take 1st prize is also part of the strategy.

one thing i like about the deck,is that if you start with 2 magicarps against something like mario, you can eisely t2 them.

heres a situation i found iteresting

you start with 2 magicarps.
he starts with a machop.

you go first

draw
atach basic metal to benched magicarp
there go

draw
play some sort of draw card
use pluspower
KO active magicarp

draw
celio's
evolve to gyrados
scramble
enrage for GG.

you can also do the same against a riolu start if they flip heads.
thats just saying they would KO you though.
some players might not KO you,but attack you instead.
that still works though.
just evolve to gyrados, maybe attach a strength charm, and KO with flail.

20+30+10=60.

i just really like gyrados and his dragon dna body, that extra 30 can come in handy when you have alot of damage on you.
so id think buffer peice's would be a great play in this deck.

interesting idea
gyrados gets free retreat, and abuses his body for flail
i see little synergy, but any guy who has the guts to play this AND the skill to win is awesome in my books
