Hello everyone would like some input on a deck idea and interpretation on rulings regarding the combination of abitities and effects of a couple Pokemon. Malamar xy58 and Malamar ex. If Malamar xy58 is my active Pokemon and I have Malamar ex on my bench, I attach a energy to Malamar ex placing the defending Pokemon asleep. Malamar xy58 has ancient trait and ability (stop and contrary). I believe that my opponent cannot flip to awaken himself due to contrary. Stop disables other Pokemon such as won bogged from turning off abilities. Super scoop up requires heads to flip. Leaving only switch and az to clear the condition. Here's my question.... Does the player flip between turns??? I was told they do. I believe the player flips at the beginning and end of their turn. So.... Is it possible to flip a heads at the beginning of their turn???
