I love how all of you just assume and don't look at the facts.
Mario was never a bad deck because it was not powerful, it was a bad deck because it was based around topdecking and had no solid support structure (lets be honest with ourselves, 70 for one is just O_O, and Machamp's second attack isn't that bad either.
-Last season Mario wasn't playble thanks to Plox. Plox is no longer the BDIF, meaning Mario can simply worry about it as a bad matchup rather than its death sentance.
-Mario had nothing that could really set it up before. But now? Claydol, Pacharisu, as well Cess Crystal (yes, Claydol and Cess in the same deck, it takes a bit of intellegence) bieng usable again thanks to Pachi not bieng in like every other deck thanks to the obviously superior Call Energy (in most decks anyway).
Now, the issues are reversed. 70 Damage max just isn't what it was in the begining of the season, and playing a Stage Two to use it is just not as good as it was before. Honestly, Lucario with Meg δ, Gallade, Golem, or any heavy hitting fighting type would probably just work better.
