Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mario for Nationals!?!?!

what empoleon said is true. darthpika, just leave the thread please.
Plox cannot win every single matches and they have a number of even matchups so yeah...

I love how all of you just assume and don't look at the facts.
Mario was never a bad deck because it was not powerful, it was a bad deck because it was based around topdecking and had no solid support structure (lets be honest with ourselves, 70 for one is just O_O, and Machamp's second attack isn't that bad either.

-Last season Mario wasn't playble thanks to Plox. Plox is no longer the BDIF, meaning Mario can simply worry about it as a bad matchup rather than its death sentance.
-Mario had nothing that could really set it up before. But now? Claydol, Pacharisu, as well Cess Crystal (yes, Claydol and Cess in the same deck, it takes a bit of intellegence) bieng usable again thanks to Pachi not bieng in like every other deck thanks to the obviously superior Call Energy (in most decks anyway).

Now, the issues are reversed. 70 Damage max just isn't what it was in the begining of the season, and playing a Stage Two to use it is just not as good as it was before. Honestly, Lucario with Meg δ, Gallade, Golem, or any heavy hitting fighting type would probably just work better.

What if we take the Crystal Beach and Cessation to a better deck. Maybe BlissCario, BanCario, or BanBliss. ^ Even what he said with Gallade.

Resistance is such a big problem. Anything like Ho-oh, Togekiss, Gyarados Moltres, Zapdos, just blocks it off entirely.

I did NOT just hear Golem suggested in a deck.

I still hold a grudge against mario for it knocking me out of getting into worlds last year... but now with skitty and holon castform gone it isn't a TOTAL donkfest I guess.

I managed to top 4 a cities with Mario right when GG came out, playing against Absol-Gallade in 2 rounds of swiss and losing to it in top cut.. The psychic weakness DOES hurt.. I think if you're going to run it, it would be best to go heavy cessation/CB, possibly with a ball/fishing engine. You'll plow through some setup decks, and your birches will be useless for gardy.

I am sure this would work with other decks too.
I am just posting my experience, but I do think that all the above decks could also abuse this.
