How does this card make Tyranitar EX playable... it is still a real bad EX, and Rotom does noting to correct that problem.

This is amazing starter, I'd say one of the best starters that exist - as long as it's in the right deck. I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to be as popular among the US/INTL crowd as it was in Japan. It might be because we no longer have the Holon Engine, of course. Here's how it's used in Japan:

He's an ideal sack pokemon-something you send up to die.

Well, I'll send it up, attach 2, and when they kill it they've gained a prize but I've gotten +2 energy and maybe scramble activation.

Decks used 3-4 of it just to pull of this neat trick early.

tyranitar's problem is that it is slow. it cant be played, but this makes it faster.

how is it bad? send it out, put markers on all their pokemon, they knock it out (2 prizes, oh well), and pick out all their pokemon.
