On the same thinking as this:
There is no such thing as a Blastoise Ex or a M Blastoise Ex.
There is:
Blastoise ex
Blastoise EX
M Blastoise EX
Those are three different names.
M Blastoise EX evolves from Blastoise EX, not from Blastoise ex.
Then does a Mega EX go through Safeguard because Safeguard states EX and not a Mega EX? Since Mega EX is a different name, Megas should bypass Safeguard effects.
