dinner eaten... check. piano practice done... check. english homework done... incomplete. perfect time to do this report today
first thing first, deck list

now, events
woke up at 8:30, thanks to GLMo's phone call, otherwise, i would have slept until they showed up, unprepared. got a quick breakfast and met her and my friend outside. make it to TJ's about 10. we get decklists, fill them out, and hang out until the tourney started. traded with kitchi bowman a mareep egg for a female larvitar
. (i hope that egg was female kitchi!) noticed that put a DDR machine downstairs, but only a 1 player machine, not 2
first battle: vs. maria jessing
felt real nervous because this battle was for real, not like the practice battles i had yesterday with this deck. and i lost about all the practice battles. she played a kingdra ex deck, which went in my favor. she had a slow start, due to an energy drought, which let me flygon use rainbow burn for a little while. she eventually got out kingdra and took out a few, but magneton really hurt her,essecially since it could do about 110 damage WITHOUT weakness. i took the win, much to my surprise. 1-0 record
i think it was between this round that they opened the upstairs store. i went up there, and saw they changed the layout, and that they had a bigger candy variaty!
2nd battle: vs. alex
o yay, a battle with my best friend and his t-tar deck. i had a good start with a good amount of basics out. i kept hitting him until his t-tar came out. then he took out my pokemon. eventually, magneton won with a 130 damage magnetic force. 2-0 record
3rd round: vs. cheryl
first loss of the day, and a real close battle between me and her gardy ex deck. she had a slow start, but her gardy ex. took out a few with boost energies. she built up steam and overwhelmed me in the end. record 2-1
and they handed out the promo beldums this round!
4th round: vs. mary
god, i HATE gardy ex. and BEX in the same deck doesn't make me feel any better. she got out an early BEX, but not fully powered up with energies. it was her firestarter blaze that took out alot of my pokemon. she kept taking them out, then she switched to BEX, all powered up. why did nintendo make volcanic ash so cheap?! record 2-2
5th round: vs. joe
last battle before the cut to top 8. he also ran a gardy deck, and it was the only one i beat, due to pure luck. he had a wobbefut out, i had trapinch and went first. turn two i hit with rock smash and hit for 30. a candied flygon did 50, leaving him with no pokemon. boy, did i luck out this battle
holy cow, i made it to the top 8! totally unexpected
round 6: vs mike
6-1 not so well for me. he ran a BA deck, not BAR. he got amphy early and soon got 2 firestarters and a BEX. do i really need to explain what happened from that point? 0-1 for first round
6-2: history just about repeates itself, basicly. his BEX came out early, and i tried to stop it with sudden flash and thundershocks. of course, i rolled a tails and he slaughtered me again. 0-2, out of the top 8
after that, i just play GBA, and trade a female mareep to mary for a female delibird. i switch to metriod fusion, and finally get the ending for less than a 2 hour completion
they eventually hand out prizes, and i pull a jirachi. mary gets a BEX. DOH!
well, it was a good day overall, and i defniatly had fun
and i don't remember who made first in each age group, or how many people there were
