Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mississippi Valley Regionals - St. Charles (St. Louis) Missouri January 19 and 20

Hello everyone, it looks like I'll be able to attend, but I need to plan things like airplane flights down there. I'll need to be leaving sunday night, so the information I need is what time does top cut generally end? I don't have much experience with big tournaments like this and I would hate to have to drop if I'm doing really well to fly home. Thanks for the help!

Top Cut starts At 9:30 AM and then its 75 mins from like 9:30 am. I believe it will be top 64 if we have 256 in a certain division (I could be Wrong).

This is just an IDEA:

TOP 64: around 9:30am-10:45am
TOP 32: 10:50am-12:05pm
Either Lunch break (prob. 1hr) or top 16: 12:10pm-1:25pm
either Lunch Break or TOP 8: like 1:30- 3:45pm
Top 4: like 3:45ish- 5:00ish
Top 2: 5:00-7:15?

I might of done some Math wrong somewhere... The person in charge has everything planned out

Good Luck :)

The call was a Top 32 max (even with 320 in Ft. Wayne) and they played the top 32 round on Saturday so only the top 16 was Sunday. They also started pretty early on Sunday (I think around 9).

I have a great staff rounding out, but if anyone is interested in joining the staff, please PM me...it's a great time with a great, nuts group of people!!!

Vince

Don't Forget the FUN Side Events taking Place on Saturday also!
Pokemon Dodge Ball, Cookie Walk, Art Area, Can Food Drive +++

If your interested in volunteering to help out, please email me [email protected]

Thanks Everyone!!!

Here is the challenge.

We are leaving the holiday season, where we still have issues in this country where the winters are cold, and people are still hungry.

We enjoy taking time out of our lives to enjoy this card game with family and friends, and I think this would be a GREAT opportunity to give a little bit back to the community.

Everyone does food drives around Christmas, and Thanksgiving, but people are needy and hungry year round. I would like to think that we, as a community can help with this.

Therefore, the principal vendor to this Regional - Yeti Gaming, is setting up a food drive where everyone who donates will be guaranteed something for their donation. There will be special door prizes randomly given, which will include a 2012 Worlds Double Deck Box, Japanese Deck Boxes, Packs, Pokemon Figures, and all sorts of good stuff.

All food and donations will be sent to one or more local food banks in the St. Louis and St. Charles Community.

I would love to see a great turnout for this appeal.

I challenge my friends from the great NorthWest, and all other winter regionals to encourage their vendors to collect more than the St. Louis area folks. I'll think of a clever wager to put on the line later. I'm not risking my hair on this one!!!

Vince
I love this idea Vince, but I don't feel there is enough time left before Winter Regionals to get the information out and do it right. I would be happy to accept the challenge for the State Championships and perhaps a lot of other states could be encouraged to participate. We could see who gets the most food donated per player participating, which would put all states on a level playing field. What do you think?

Are there going to be people who will buy Bulk Commons and Uncommons?

"There will be vendors on the site to buy cards, sell cards and supplies, including sleeves and dice, and single cards."

according to the 1st post yes there is now my question is... is it Yeti Gaming I need to figure that out like Condition wise\

I saw that, but I thought that only meant singles. Thanks.:thumb:

Texas is SOOO there!! This year will be our 4th food drive - we're the Dried Bean Queen!! (our Food Pantry asks for dried beans) Sounds like a great challenge for all States!

Can't wait to get to St Charles next week though - gonna be a great time!!

Just preregistered. Can't wait for this, especially since I didn't get to play in Cities at all. I'm ready for a tournament :D

Hi everyone I am attending Regionals in MO and was wondering what all i should bring in order to trade with others. I have cards but I don't know what people need for trading. If anyone wants to PM me of cards (Collection or to play) you looking for feel free to pm me. I have like 3000 cards and i can not bring all of them so I am just taking the ones that people need more than me cause right now they are sitting here on a table collecting dust.

Also
@M45 who is the Vender as well? I was wanting to give them a call (about cards)

Thanks guys

Well, I won Southern Pains Regionals a few months back, might as well come and try to be the first to win 2 in a year.

Preregistered.
Looking forward to seeing Vince and the crew.

I'll definitely be there! I'll be looking to stream the event as well, hopefully with some player commentary as the tournament progresses. Vince, I'll shoot you a PM or email soon to try to work out some of the details. Can't wait!

I won't be streaming, but I'll get as many matches as I possibly can as well. I'm bringing 2 camera setups, just like I did for the entire Chicago Marathon. We'll see what we can get done.
