Do we have to sign up for the event?

Where do you get tickets?

Where can I find information?

If you ahve the vip pass youw aikt till orgins to pay for events but if not:

Go to: www.originsgames.com and buy a badge. From there you will be able to purchase all your evenst online with a credit card. When you have them paid you will go to the preregistration booth at the convention center either wensday the 23rd,thursday the 24th or any time after that during the convention to get your badge, event tickets and other things.

How do i pre-register for nationals w/out pre-restering for origins. I won a state so i get a two round bye. and what would happen if i show up and the tounry is sold out. Do i just not get to play and my two round bye is gone to waste? And how do i get my pass to orgins do i pick it up when i get there?

I sent an email to Steve McLaughlin over a week ago regarding the Origins badges and have not received a reply yet.

Read above. Contact POP directly about your registration and attendance at the event. The event CANNOT SELL OUT!

steve how can this event not sell out. I thought according to origins rules once all seats have been sold nomore can be added the event is deemed sold out. has nintendo made a no sell out rule??

Ok, there are X seats RESERVED for the event. That doesn't mean that if the reserved seats sell out that adhoc players will be turned away. How do you foster a relationship with players if you're going to be turning them away when they make a last minute decision to play?

Okay sorry it took such a long time to make an update on tournaments. Secondly I'd like to thank DaytonGymLeader explains important things about the National Championship he has been a vital hand in the entire topic for me. Last thing is that DON'T WORRY anyways because there is still a stinkin 217 original seats open and as DGL says, even in the rare event the seats are all taken they will take more players no matter what.

Thanks for the info DGL. It really halps me for future reference . I gues your right in saying the only want to build a great realtionship beween player and game is to give them every chance to play even in sell out situations. :)

My alot of seats have been taken recently. I guess State Winners and Gym Challenge are starting to come about finally.

What else is new... not much. Except I think I am going to get myself about $40 dollars in GTs just in case I play in more stuff.

The Origins one day badge, however, is a 'refunded' item. Meaning, you need to register for Origins, and pay for your badge. When you arrive onsite, go to the Customer Service booth with your name, ID and POP ID. They will give you a $20 refund at that time to cover the Saturday portion of your badge.

The instructions for badge redemption are linked from the Gym FAQ, and will also be posted here next week.

Just remember if your gonna safe guard yourself like that you trade in all tickets you cant use by saturday night after nationals because you never know on sunday if you will be buzy ending everything and they could close down that day before you get there and you have $20 or so of generic tickets unused and dead. Ive seen it happen before at previous origins and people havent been more angry at themselves.

Thanks for the tip FireFighter. I ordered $200 worth for my son and myself and was worried I might miss the 4:00 refund time but your idea is a good one. I'll just estimate how much I might need for Sunday. If I lose some, at least it won't be a ton!

News article @ pokemon-tcg.com (http://www.pokemon-tcg.com/p_news/archives/news_337.jsp):
Pokémon US National Championship

Hosted at the Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, the 26th of June, the 2004 Pokémon US National Championship event will be a thing to remember. National Champions in three age groups will be crowned from among the ranks of the 2004 City and State Champions, Gym Challenge winners, and the hopeful Pokémon Trainers that are making their way to this open participation event. Competition will be heavier than we have seen before, and the winners will have little time to rest before they represent the United States in the 2004 World Championships in August!

The National Championships is open to everyone attending the Origins Game Fair, and there will be a variety of additional Pokémon TCG events taking place every day of the convention. From sealed deck and booster draft events to a new 2-on-2 team battle format, there will be plenty of games to play and prizes to win. Bring your best Modified format deck for side events and the all-weekend Walk-around League where you can win promo cards galore!

Note the reference yet again to the 2-on-2 Team Battle format!

Add the Torch girl to the list of attendees-hope to meet all of ya'll

We gotta have the Team Sealed event, how else can 'Nasty Goo' return to it's dominance?

Yeah....2 weeks to go and no rules for the judging team to even start to think about, let alone players.....cancel this NOW!

Such negativity.

Why not either be bold and take a chance, sure it might be pure chaos, or simply skip this event?
