Nats Play Points question

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if the points from last years Nats would count to your Play points for this year? I am wondering because currently it says I only have 9 play points for this year, and I went last year to Nats last year and have the points but they are counted towards last year's points.

Any help with this would be appreciated!

I thought I read something before that said that the play points for Nationals would count for the next year, since there is really no need for those points other than rewards (I think they give those out with points)? But I am not sure, hence why I am asking.
