Need your advice on a new Pokemon Venture!

Hey everyone,
I need the pokemon communities thoughts and feedback on a new website I am thinking about creating. I am a web developer with about 10 years experience and I've done everything from tiny sites to silicone valley startups.

Anyways, last month I had a bad experience buying single cards from someone online and I had the idea that I could do it better. So I purchased about $3000 worth of cards and then I got signed up for Alliance and GTS distribution to buy booster boxes and things at wholesale prices to sell to people on the site.

Basically I'm realizing as I get into this that to make a great site that is really fun to navigate is a TREMENDOUS amount of work because of all the different things on the cards such as energy, type, etc.

So here's my question...

How many of you would be excited about the fact that there was a site dedicated to selling pokemon singles and it was made with the greatest design and technology that there was so it was a pleasure to use. The customer service would be TOP NOTCH with live chat with our team and when we shipped singles or EX cards or anything else, they'd be shipped with great care and careful packaging so that the cards got to you in mint condition.

IS this something that you guys would use frequently? Is it worth doing in your opinion, why and why not?

Also, if we do this we're going to make a trade in system where we will buy your cards, but its going to be industry leading in that we're going to make it completely custom where you send us a trade request, we issue an offer, then you put in your payment details and once we receive and approve your package the agreed upon funds are instantly transfered to your account. So a very nice, fast system where you can track your trades right up to the point you're paid on them.

Let me know what thoughts you guys have on this.

Sorry for being so late to reply, but I guess any reply is better than no reply.

There are a few sites that people have already (which I won't advertise their names here since it wouldn't be fair to you), so you may be into a bit of competition. However the best thing is word of mouth. If you can do what you advertise, then believe me, you'll have lots of people flocking to your site. The biggest challenge that I saw in selling your cards was trust issues. The site doesn't trust the customers, and the customers don't trust the site to be honest with them as to the value of the cards they want to ship to the site. It's a tough go in my opinion. However if you basically feel that pokemon players want to do the right thing and can handle the odd bad egg, I have a feeling you'll do well. As for me, I'm retired from the game and got rid of my cards a couple years ago - most of them going to a person on here on the pokegym I could trust, so that went well. But yeah, if I had to do it all over again, I'd be excited about the prospect of working with you and see how well you do.
