Or maybe a/some new black star promos?

From page 45 of the Origins Preregistration Booklet:

Pokemon’s Greatest Events are at ORIGINS!
The Pokemon U.S. National Championships return for another exciting, competition-filled year to the Origins CCG Hall, and you can bet the excitement will be riding high. Origins will also be the site for the North American Professor Cup, a highly-prized tournament for the elite Professor class of Pokemon players.
There will be many other events, featuring all styles of play, each and every day. In addition, new cards and new characters are planned for release at the show, making Origins the must-not-miss event for all Pokemon fans.

... Say what?

How did you get a pre-registration booklet? I asked for one when we bought our badges in January. Still haven't received it.

Yeah, I still haven't received mine either. There's a very early version that you can download on the Origins webpage, but it doesn't actually have any event listings in it.

If I understand it correctly, the event listing is a separate document that you can also download, but I beleive it is in excel, so you have to have that in order to get it.

The TFG are not cards and do not contain new characters in the first set BT.

Hey, you never know. Things like that can be vague sometimes.
There ARE cards in the TFG; the trainer cards. And "new characters" could very well refer to the fact that the Pokemon are figures now - or heck, it could even refer to the referee figure -_-.
IMO, that referencing the TFG is a lot more plausible than a new set - but what's more plausible than either of them is that there is no new set, there are no new cards, it's just some mumbo jumbo that they threw in as a space filler.
Heck, "new cards" could refer to the nationals promo. There sure as heck aren't going to be any "new characters"...maybe the origins people aren't aware that DP is already out.

Don't get your hopes up. Origins was a little... liberal... with the wording of that statement. Meaning, they added words to the ad without checking with us first. I wouldn't count on seeing a new set, mini or otherwise, at Origins.

The most I can say is that Diamond and Pearl just came out and they are advestising it, explains the new set and "new" pokemon.

Dang lesik you got all of our curiosity peaked and now that buzz is killed. Maybe he is hiding teh fact that a new mini set will be there just to keep us off the trail :) I guess well have to see at origins
