NFL Playoff Talk UPDATE 3 (AFC/NFC Championships!!!)

NFC

Cowboys>Giants
Seahawks>Packers

CowboysoverGiants
The Cowboys havent been the same team the last couple of weeks w/o T.O., T.O. is a game-time decision. Say he doesnt play, Tony Romo should still be able to exploit the banged up Giants secoundary. If T.O. does play, then the Cowboys will have an easy time putting up points against the Giants 11th ranked pass defense. Eli is still unproven, he had a good game the last two weeks, including last weeks good preformence against the Bucs #1 pass defense, BUT, the Bucs lost one of their key secoundary players, Saftey Tanard Jackson, which gave Eli an easier time against their pass defense. On top of all of this, the Giants are 7-1 on the road, 8-1 if you include the playoffs. The one team that they lost to on the road, the Cowboys. Jessica Simpson wont be at this one

Cowboys 34 Giants 21

SeahawksoverPackers
Seahawks are going on the road to Lambeau, just like they did a few years back when they lost in overtime. I think it will be a close game throughout, but I think that the Seahawks defense will be able to hold Brett Favre to only a good game, and the Seahawks 12th ranked run defense should stop the Packers run game, which will force the Packers to pass, which will make it easier for the Seahawks to stop the pass.

Seahawks 24 Packers 21

Jaguars>Patriots
Colts>Chargers

JaguarsoverPatriots
Jaguars will be able to run the football, which will make it easier for them to pass. I think that they will put up a lot of points, and this game will be a shoot out. Brady will be able to pass on the Jags D, but Jags will shutdown Pats running game (which wouldnt be a big deal anyway), but I think it'll make a big enough difference for the jaguars to play better Pass D, which will allow them to win.

ColtsoverChargers
This will be another high scoring game. L.T. will be able to run over the Colts D, and Peyton Manning will destroy the Chargers D. The thing that will make the difference, is that the Colts will be able to run the football, and the Chargers, wont be able to pass the football with Phillip Rivers. That will be the difference.

yeah ok buddy if Rivers can't pass the ball, then the titans game didn't happen? the kid has matured and needs some respect. he flat out won us the game without his security blanket in Gates, and thats hella impressive

My predictions (based off my own preferences without regard to statistical data and whatnot):

Seahawks > Packers. I like both teams, but I like Seahawks a bit more. Will be an interesting mach either way.

Giants > Cowboys. I don't like the Cowboys, and I think Eli Manning can pull through.

Jaguars > Patriots. Definately don't like the Patriots. They're a bunch of cheaters and do not deserve that 16-0 record.

Colts > Chargers. Again, I like both teams, but the Colts are the defending champions after all...

Honestly part of the reason I picked was Chargers to win (no, not that I love them) is that they always seem to beat the Colts >_>

The Chargers are good enough to do it.

rationally speaking, the chargers ARE 9.5 point underdogs to the colts but i'm definitely hoping for the past 2 games to be an indication of what this team can do vs the colts

i'm just ****** at how much crap Rivers gets from even Chargers fans themselves. when hes playing bad, yeah he deserves some critisizm but when he outright wins a game for us that was looking bad, plus being very efficient in the last few regular season games, it's really lame to see everyone STILL bashing him like he's the second coming of Ryan Leaf.

the kid is in his second year as a starter, already having a pro bowl under his belt and now, a playoff win. he hasn't had that great of a receiving core (well other than gates) until now (chambers + VJ's emergence) and now hes starting to show that he can use good receivers properly. The reason why his production dropped was because Norv wanted to put more emphasis on the passing game to help Rivers improve and not just be a caretaker QB. The results are showing in these last few games.

So stop it with all this "if LT is shut down and rivers is forced to pass, they have no chance" crap. thats how we beat the titans

I don't see Seattle having much of a chance in GB. I'm don't know how they are going to move the ball consistently enough with no running game. Their D will keep them in it for a half or so, but I like GB with a balanced attack in the cold weather by 10 points. Colts will kill the Chargers, they just aren't on their level. Norv Turner can't take a team into the RCA Dome and hang with them, not a chance. 37-10 Colts. I don't see the Jags hanging with New England either. They let a mediocre Pittsburgh team back into the game when they had the opportunity to step on their throats. The injuries on the d-line are going to catch up with them as well since they won't be able to sustain a rush on Brady. Pats 31-16. Their is a lot to not like about the Cowboys right now between TO's injury and the way they looked the last couple weeks of the season, and the Giants looked really good last weekend. This is going to be the closest game of the 4, but I think Dallas finds a way to put it together at home and win, and Manning will throw a huge pick late in the game to seal it. 28-24.

37-10 COLTS, LOL! Chargers have beaten the Colts the last 3 times they've played. Their defense owns Manning. As long as Rivers plays good, they win.

Chargers 28, Colts 24

Packers 31, Seahawks 21

Cowboys 35, Giants 28

Jaguars 24, Patriots 21

Realistically: Patriots 31, Jaguars 14

Patriots get the big head, and lose to the Jaguars...[16-21]

Cowboys, "without" T.O., blow the Giants away.[40-23]

Packers and Colts win their respective games in an exciting fashion.[both win at 35-28]

^Pats getting a big head under belicheck??? lol.
Pats 38 Jags 21
Packers 31 Seahawks 17
Giants 27 Cowboys 21
Colts 28 Chargers 27

i figured there had to be at least one upset this weekend, glad it was **our** game :D :D :D go bolts!!

'mom :D

I'm 6-8 on picks this year (I picked Seattle over redskins, Bucs over Giants, Chargers over Titans, Jaguars over Steelers, Patriots over jaguars, Colts over chargers, Packers over Seattle, Giants over Cowboys) next weekend I pick

Packers over Giants

Patriots over Chargers

Super Bowl:
Packers over Patriots!

Well, half right this time. Predictions for next week:

Packers > Giants (though it was really nice to see Giants > Cowboys)
Chargers > Patriots (not probably going to happen, but after all the Chargers have been through to get here, they deserve it)
