Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Niles, Illinois EX: Hidden Legends Prerelease, June 5th!

The ptizes should be:
1st-36 boosters
2nd-3rd 18boosters
3rd-4th 9 boosters
5th-8th 4 boosters
or atleast thats what it is ever where in the country and what Nintendo says but what does Nintendo know. Or for a matter of fact the rest of the country? lol

Well the good news is that Jared won't be there to beat me in this one.

we've already had this argument, and Sean looks completely unwilling or unable to change his position. We'll just have to prove him wrong once again...

um excuse me?

I'm not the one who pays for the prizes, my position is to run the tournament and do what I'm told. (So the word you're looking for is unable)

We get a sheet from Nintendo saying how much to give each player. In the past its been 36-16-8-8 and 4, if this time it says 18-9-9-4-4-4-4 then you will get that, I'll be happy to show you what it says on the date. No one is trying to cheat you out of a booster.

Hope you succeed in 'proving me wrong once again' (by the way, I wouldn't use the word 'we' because some people you refer to as 'we' seem to feel offended or something when you use it) :)

ok, I'll change that to a "I".

Either way, check out the link I put up there earlier, it specifically says, 36, 18, 9, 9,4,4,4,4

Electrode could've been so much better, but now it's just average...

I'm excited about the Water in this set, dunno why...

Will ask Nintendo why no other PTO gets this sheet when I call them tomorrow.

Nintendo supplies all the prizes for the main event, The only thing the TO's pay for are boosters for playing the event and side event prizes. All main event prizes are suppied by Nintendo.

I have also heard they don't give VIP's the $5 discount, is this also true?

I've always just been given a printout of somesort (looks like its online) and divy up the prizes there. If we give out more than what was allotted to us for that, then we pay up. The webistes saying 18-9-4 so looks like that's what its going to be.

Arent VIPs supposed to get half off or something like that at the prerelease?

Ive got bad news or maybe good news for you guys. I wont be able to make it. Sorry boys but i cant get the day off of work

Nope, VIP's only get $5.00 off. It only seemed like half off because all the other events that they have gotten it at were only $10 events. If the PTO's gave half off the prerelease tournaments we would loose money.

[EDIT] I have been corrected. PTO's are allowed to set the discount. Don't look for many to do 50% though due to the fact many would loose money doing so.[/EDIT]

Pokekid, the matches should be as long as all other tournament matches (30 minutes last i heard) unless sudden changes are made.

Definately 30 minute round. 30 minutes for deckbuilding as well. (Though I can be quite lenient on that)

In sealed 30 minutes is more than enough time to play so don't worry.

No Top 8 breakoff for this tourney.

Swiss rounds depends on number of people. I'm gonna say at least 4 and probably no more than 6.

I'm leaving now, see you all there! (sorry I don't have a new league kit of promos to give you all this time around though :()

With 16 people (and me getting a box and a half of boosters), I'd say this was probably the easiest tourney to get prizes at since this tourney season started.

Breakdown:
10-: 2 people (one my cousin)
11-14: 2 people (one my cousin)
15+: 11 people (me getting 10th)

this tournament did seem quite easy, but either way, i had fun. Im surprised that Power Heal Medicham did so well.
