I am trying to build a deck just to play with my friends. i used to collect pokemon cards a few years ago. i only collected, but not play with the cards. Now i am trying to make a deck that is fairly budget. I have 2 slowking HGSS with the ability to rearrange the top 3 cards of either your deck or your opponents deck. So i have been trying Gengar AR (the one with curse ability) and Spiritomb AR (trainer lock) with Slowking HGSS. However, i find it hard to set up since Gengar is a stage 2 pokemon and it isnt as beefy as recent EX/GXs. I have thought about Seismitoad EX, but it is too expensive. And so i decided to try Noivern GX, whose attacks have both Item lock and Special Energy Lock, as well as a decent GX attack. So here's my decklist:

Pokemon (14)
4x Noibat BUS
4x Noivern GX BUS
2x Slowbro Undaunted
2x Slowking HGSS
1x Misdreavus Platinum
1x Mismagius Undaunted

Supporters (11)
2x Professor Juniper
3x Professor Oak's New Theory
2x Wally
2x Brigette
1x Ghetsis
1x Seeker

Items (17)
2x Evosoda
4x Ultra Ball
3x Choice Band
1x Switch
1x Escape Rope
3x Pokemon Communication
1x Special Charge
1x Startling Megaphone
1x Sacred Ash
1x Computer Search

Energy (10)
4x Double Dragon Energy
4x Dark Energy
2x Psychic Energy

53 cards. 7 spaces.

The main strategy is to try to get Noivern GX out ASAP with a DDE to start Item locking. I really love Slowking's ability to rearrange the top 3 cards of your opponent's deck, and disrupt him.

I run Mismagius Undaunted as a tech for her Poltergeist attack, which allows me to look at my opponent's hand and do 30 damage for each trainer, item, supporter, or stadium card he has. Under item lock, my opponent wouldn't be able to play his items, so this attack can easily be powered up.

For the spaces, I may tech in 1-1 trashalanche Garbodor, crushing and enhanced hammers.

Some questions:
1. Should i run Seeker or Acerola or AZ. I feel that Seeker is best as you can make your opponent put a evolution card back into his hand and he would have to waste a few turns to evolve again.
2. Should I run Noivern GX/Garbodor (ability lock) instead of Noivern GX/Slowking? I really love Slowking's ability though, as you can rearrange the top 3 cards of your opponent's deck AS WELL AS your own, helping you to get the cards you need.
3. Any other important items/ supporters i left out? if not, i would go 4 crushing hammer, 2 Enhanced Hammer, and maybe 1/2 Team Flare Grunt.

Slowking is a beast, and definitely combos well with some of the newer cards.

I'm thinking a Slowking/Bunnelby/Vileplume deck would beat any deck once that lock is setup.

Bunnelby will give you the option of discarding the top card or top two cards of your opponent's deck. So with Slowking, you can arrange it so that you are discarding Energy and Supporters, so your opponent will only draw Trainers (which are blocked by Vileplume), Stadiums (which you can abuse Delinquent) or Pokemon (which can't do anything).

You can use Forest of Giant Plants to get Vileplume out fast, and then Delinquent to lessen their hand early on. On turns that you only want to discard one card, Bunnelby will let you toss something back in your deck.

You can play tons of disruption supporters like Flare Grunt, Rocket's Handiwork, Lysandre, Delinquent.
