# of Pokemon in a deck

you are only allowed 4 of a card in a deck....just wondering if it's okay to have more than four for a certain Pokemon. IE..you have 4 copies of Tepig from say Black & White, in the same deck are you also allowed to have promo versions as well as versions from other sets? So could you have 12 Tepigs in a deck as long as they are different cards?

Follow-up; So even if the cards have different abilities, attacks etc, you can only have 4 Tepigs.

No. It goes by the full name of the card.
All of those cards have the same name, Tepig.

However, Zekrom and Zekrom EX have different names, so you could have 4 of each.
