Announced Thursday, it looks like Pokemon will finally have its own official online game. Based on what I've read, this online game will require players to collect the cards from which to build their decks. There seems to be a points system involved, which I assume will be earned by playing games, and can possibly be bought (like most other "free" games online).
I for one am excited about this announcement. I'm hoping this will become the standard of online play for PTCG. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this. There will apparently be an open beta, but no dates have been announced as of yet.
