Lets Look At Ho-Oh Ex

Ability Rebirth

You can use this Ability once during your turn when this Pokémon is in the discard pile. You may flip a coin. If heads, put this Pokémon on the Bench. Attach 3 basic Energies from the discard pile to this Pokémon.

[C][C][C] Rainbow Burn 20+

Does 20 more damage for each type of basic Energy card attached to this Pokémon.

This is a badass pokemon. But the Attack is just... Garbage. the reason I put this pokemon in this deck is for the ability. Wait...Wait...Wait. The ability. Yes, let me explain

Let Me dumn it down. You use ultra ball to discard ho-oh and a energy to get ho-oh. You attach a DCE to Tornadus ex or reg. tornadus. Juniper Ho-oh and use its ablitity x2 if you cant get heads on the first try. Then You use energy switch to get a turn 1 80 or 100.

I include terrakion to counter tornadus weakness.

I put sabelye To reuse trainers because all of tornadus attacks are colorless. I can easily junk hunt back what I want

Everything in the trainer line is standard. I will metion some parts. I play 1 energy search so I can get the energy into the discard with ultra ball turn 1. 4 catcher is standard. 4 ultra ball discards ho-oh and energy to get other pokemon. Energy switch is so that I can switch the energy from ho-oh to tornadus or terrakion. plus power is to add more damage and switch is incase i start ho-oh. Super Scope Up is so I can scoop ho-oh so it wont be a free prize and ultra ball it again,

I play 11 supporters. I think you can take some out for techs that you will think help this deck. N is to lower the opponets hand to 1 incase you dont win. this deck has the WORST LATE GAME EVER, Bianca is just another draw supporter. There is only 4 Draw Supporters in this fornat

4 DCE is For tornadus. 4 fighting is for terrakion and 4 dark is for sabelye. I also think is the apporiate number in this deck.

I have no other techs to think of. Thanks for reading and commet for techs on this deck and what should be changed. =)

Have you tested this deck? I heard something similar talked about elsewher but I think it was dismissed as too inconsistent. if you can get that damage reliably it would be impressive but it isnt easy to do and is dependent on a lot of cards. If you have tested it, how many times out of 10 ( assuming you go first) do you get the damage?

You know what? You may be on to something here. You could run it like the ole California Troll, open tornadus and tank. Don't get too cocky, you'll probably still need mewtwo. I'd almost rather run terrakion ex as well.

HO'OH's effect will only occur when you can attach 3 different types of basic energy therefore you would not be able to use this effect with your current lines of energy.

Do what you can rule if you can't attach three different energy you attach as many different types as you can.

Just want to clarify this still restricts how many you get to attach. If you have 2 different types you get 2 energy, not 3 energies of 2 different types.

Anyway, Tornadus doing 100 is highly irrelevant. You are better off getting Ho-oh to do the 80 it gets from Rebirth or 100 by attaching another energy to it. Tornadus is decent with Ho-oh, but it doesnt need to be the main attacker. Ho-oh needs things to deal with Mewtwo, Empoleon and Sigilyph for it, none of which Tornadus really shines against. Tornadus nearly deals with Sigilyph, but falls short overall. This deck just doesnt accomplish anything, not tending to the needs of any Pokemon in it. DCE is horrid for Ho-oh, 2 types of energy is horrid for Ho-oh and 4 Ho-oh does nothign for Tornadus.

I'd work on recentralizing the deck towards one of the included Pokemon, going for a T1 Tornadus/Ex or Ho-oh before looking on advice to fix the list.

what do you do when you start with Terrakion or Sabeleye or Ho-Oh (which is a substantial). What if you dont start juniper? What if you don't get energy switch? What if you whiff on ultra balls? What if you whiff on DCE? It seems to me that this relies on way to much luck on that first turn.
