I have a few questions about the interaction of Omega Barrier and various trainer cards.
Omega Barrier: Whenever your opponent plays a Trainer card (excluding Pokémon Tools and Stadium cards), prevent all effects of that card done to this Pokémon
Lysandre - What is the target? Is the target the benched pokemon or the active pokemon?
Example 1: Omega barrier Sceptile on bench and active Grovyle
Example 2: Omega Barrier Sceptile active and benched Grovyle
Can Lysandre be used in either of the above situations with any effect?
Similarly: Escape Rope - What is the target? Is the target the benched pokemon, the active pokemon or the player?
Example 1: Omega barrier Sceptile on bench and active Grovyle
Example 2: Omega Barrier Sceptile active and benched Grovyle
Can Escape Rope be used in either of the above situations with any effect? Assume that the player using the escape rope is opposing the Sceptile/Grovyles and has no bench.
Crushing/Enhanced Hammer - What is the target? The pokemon with the Omega Barrier or the Energy attached to it
Example - Sceptile with Omega Barrier and a herb energy attached.
I apologise for some of these questions, but I'm operating from a magic point of view (ie the creature has hexproof but not it's auras, I can target the aura but not the creature. I can't affect the pokemon with trainers, but I can affect things attached to it - or affecting things attached to it counts as affecting the pokemon.)
I apologise for bang so long winded. THank you for your time.
Cheers,
Mithos
EDIT Found answers in compendium for escape rope questions. Active barrier prevents escape rope as rope targets active pokemon. Benched Barrier with non-barrier pokemon active does not prevent excape rope effect as rope targets the active non-barrier pokemon.
