Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Ontario Provincial Championships Info

Ok, if everyone wants me to bring G&G to Pre-Provincials I accept your challenge.

Just because you bring it doesn't mean you're going to play it, Back up your claims prove G&G's still got something. Remember Pre-Provincials isn't worth anything

If you play it as your deck FOR the tournament, then i'll GUARANTEE my presents at the tournament (unless the worse case scenario prevents me from going:eek:)

and if you don't, you live up to half your gym name, you're just talking smack:nonono:

have fun!

I would love to be there on the 24th, just to hang with you guys. But, my players need me, and I have already paid the rent for the room!

Zach, please post a report that night so that we can know what everybody played and how they did.

To everbody planning to play in the Provincials on March 1: Please bring your best game, your best deck and, most importantly, your best attitude. This is an opportunity for all of us to be a part of a great tournament, but it will only be the case if each one of us makes it happen.

Hear, Hear! Good post, Paul. I wouldn't want to have to DQ someone due to poor sportmanship. A good event will be advertisement for years to come - believe it!

like P_A and Lucario said.

For anybody that knows us we are just kiiding around here except smacktack15 he is scary serious rofl

I heard that Kant backed down from a tournament, Mississauga it was. I don't know Ontario but that's what it said on "who Won what cities"...

Anyways i don't support anyone who scared to battle just because he lost 2 or 3 matches

that's just weak...

ok I dont know who you are, but you should stop talking about crap and making stuff up like you know what you're talking about.

I didn't miss any cities because i was "scared to battle". If anything, I wanted more cities on different day so I could have a FAIR CHANCE to get as many points as Americans..

I had good reasons to miss the 2 cities that I missed, and there is absolutely no way I would miss a tournament in this area because of risking points

please tell me which randie you "heard" this from because this is just riduclous

My plan is in full effect. I just wanted you to feel comfortable so I lost every tournament up till now. It is time to unleash the Triple'K'Fu deck on the 24th! Good luck all and god help you.

hiya

kungfufita out!

Yep, now you see why I'm always laughing at league. With people like Troy, Randy, Curtis, and Zach there at the same time, it's hard not to smile. Good luck guys.

Well, Troy, you can kungfu kick me all you want on the 24th but, with the help of my team, Garret, and others, my SD may see some play @ Provincials and I will kungfu kick you back. You have been semi warned . Speaking of that... Garret, I need your help please:)

Alright guys, don't forget - Barrie's Gamer's Lair on the 24th, and March 1st provincials at Georgetown.

The “pre provincial” event on the 24th at the Gamers Lair will be awesome. Garret always has awesome prizes (not sure how he does it!) 1st class events as good as nationals no exaggeration as Garret and Josh are 2 of the top judges in Canada. Curtis is also involved which can never hurt. When my daughter first started Curtis made her first tournament deck for her. It just happened to be the national championships ‘07 and she came in 14th. (I never thanked you for that….thank you). Garret has given my daughter countless cards towards her decks. And played /trained them in matches at league. It is simply amazing! I would just like to thank Garret, Curtis, Josh and Curtis’s daughters who are 2 of the best players in the world and who my daughters look up to and “FEAR” ……So come to this event to see it for yourselves as the provincials in Georgetown will have something to live up to!

We have the best competition in Ontario at the league every Saturday @ 11am to 3pm. There are people that travel up to 1.5 to 2hrs to come to league every Saturday to practice and trade.

I just can not believe how lucky we are to have this league 7 min from our house. (my wife my not think it is so lucky …)

Do you know what trophy looks really good? 1st place nationals =P

the 1st place trophy is too big, the 2nd place one is a good size :) sigh, i wish our provincial thread is as fun to read as yours :D

Ughhh...I need this trip so I can go to Nats. If I get to Nats I will do ok but, I need this trip (edited my joke)

this is your first year in masters right ? if you dont get a trip, than i wouldnt see you at Vancouver ?

new year, new player bragging about how he's going to win everything, when will they learn.........

haha, i remember :p

Thanks for the post Troy, I appreciate it. Especially the google map. That was a good finishing touch. Josh and I try to give back to the game and the players what we can, so more people get involved, and enjoy the game as much as we do. It's good to see that he's learned some spirit of giving that we as parents tried to instill. Of course no one is perfect, but we try our best, and it shows from all the great comments like these. We also have a bunch of good players, good sports and good people who frequent Gamer's Lair which keeps this all rolling. We couldn't do it without you.

The one thing that is kinda depressing is that from this side of the country, it costs less for a player to go to Worlds, than it does to attend our own Nationals. That's not to say that some won't attend anyway, but the financial realities of the situation makes it hard to predict the amount of people who will seriously consider going out. However, my impression is the amount would be small - even among those who will have won the stipend to attend Nationals this year. I hope that the good players who won at Provincials and Regionals at least consider going out to Nationals, but if it's a choice to attend one or the other of Nationals and World's, which one would you pick? My vote would be World's if I was a player with limited amounts of capital - even if I had to grind in. That's why I sympathize with players from the western part of the country for the past few years. Good luck everyone.

Bidier: Yeah, this is my first year in Masters and I am loving it! The only way for me to go to Vancouver would be if I came 1st place at Provincials or 1st place Regionals. Other than that I will have to win a ranking invite to Worlds but, that would cost too much $$$. Pre-Provincials is going to be awesome.

Hey Bidier, didn't I meet you the night before Nats at the bar in the hotel. We did some DS trades, Card trades, battles??? You traded me a level 100 Lugia.

That's pretty funny because that's the only way i'm gonna head there for nationals too bad they can't make first top 4 nationals last year get free trips to this years nationals...

Pre-Provincials is going to be awesome.

on another note speaking of no money, how much is this tournament gonna cost i just got a parking ticket for 20 whole bucks!!!

we might have :) we can trade again if you come to vancouver :p

top4 gets trip ? than what would i get ? but once you get here, i'll clean out a whole sofa just for you :)

no no no i'm saying if top 4 at last year's nationals got a trip than i'd guarantee you that i'd be sleeping on your sofa during nationals, but since i'm dirt poor i can't say for sure that i'll be crashing at your place, i'll need to WIN a trip in order for me to participate at nationals...

it's pretty weird though, because if i were to win at one of those events... i'll need to to pay my way to nationals pick up my prize AT vancouver and then cash it there in order to get a "free" trip...
