Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Origins 2007?

It said "full event", so I could be off on the number of days.
Best to go to the website and check it all out.

Yeah, it's only the 5-8. LOL, but I still plan on going up on Wednesday for the "Red, White, and BOOM!" which is supposely the biggest fourth of july fireworks show on this side of the nation. Supposely lol.

Where might we find this big 4th of July celebration? Were going up the weekend before Nats to catch a Cardinals game but we will be back in the area for the 4th. Were making this our Summer Vaction week. So were gonna need some where to watch the Fireworks!

5 day? W/TH/F/S/SU? Wasn't it just 4 days last year?

Last year we got there on Wednesday and played some things Wednesday night (Ninja Burger and something else, but I don't remember what).

Lots going on Wed. night.

But I've got to tell you, I don't think this extension bodes well for Origins. They were way down in attendance last year. Pokemon was one of the primary sponsors. This year, Pokemon isn't sponsoring. I think this extension may mean they're not getting the attendance numbers they are hoping for. We'll see...

It was huge 2 years ago.. The fireworks are easily seen from outside of the Con...I believe they are shot from the south side of the city...big big big...We watched from outside of our hotel

So is there anyway to get in to nationals without buying a badge or do you have to buy a badge

Last year some tournaments (states/regionals) included a badge if you won. I'd guess this would happen again, but the details for these have not yet been released.

If you happen to be a teacher, you can get a "Teacher's Hall Pass" - a free badge.

I seem to remember that Columbus OH residents can get some sort of special "free" pass.

I thought I read that you can volunteer to help at ORIGINS (not just with Pokemon) and get free admittance.

When we first went, children 9 or under were free with paid adult admission.

Otherwise, you have to buy a badge.

I noticed today, as I was reading the State Championship prize structure, that 2nd place in States gets a 4-day Origins pass this year.

Were still looking to go in 1/2's with 2 people so if your planning on getting your badge by the 31st of this month, PLEASE let us know! We would certainly APPRECIATE it!

Thanks!

Red, White, and Boom is an all day affair with most of the action taking place along the river which is basically the west side of downtown. There is a parade, concerts, children's activities, etc. all capped off by the fireworks display around 10PM.

Just throwing this out there AGAIN!

I just checked the Origins website and see that Pokemon is now listed as a sponsor. I'm glad to see that. (It wasn't there yesterday.) It was seeming like this convention was fading. This is a step in the right direction for them (Origins).

Well it was there back on the 31st when I ordered more badges! Maybe you just didnt notice it yet, it's been there!
