Sorry about that, I guess Sensei just distrubited them. Yeah you are right, I doubt there will be another card like Tyrouge.

One great thing about Origins is the costumes however the only one who was couragous enough to have a costume was Mr. Grass in his very nice psyduck outfit, so with that said, I want to see players with costumes. If you have the money, time, and brains, try to do four costumes to spice things up even more! I am sure going to try to pull things off. What about you?

Remember if you have an idea that could make Origins even more fun for us Pokemon Trainer's this year give us your thoughts!

Itsd good to see alot of regulars are posting and giving thier name into the hat. I am looking over the origins schedule and im glad they added the sealed team event. Gives me a fun thing to end origins with. Ill see everyone in june and thanks mysterious for getting all this info together.

Thursday:
Competing in a fluxx tournmant
Then a pokemon booster darft is in the schedule for me
Friday:
All raw deal games for that day. First the team battle and then the auction draft
Saturday:
Getting ready for the big national tournamht where the best pokemon player gets the worlds invite
Sunday:
End it all with the pokemon team sealed event

I look like i have a Huge pile of events lined up. :D

Im sorry to say that is true but it gives many pokemon players and thier parents ample time to get to ohio for the event. It hurts alot of national tournmants but its all for the best in nintendo's eyes. I wanted to compete in the yu-gi-oh national and had it set in my schedule but this will change all that. :pokeball:

Mysterious its ok if your updates will be slow,good luck getting the CC together and hear from ya on the topic when the dust from the CC clears :D
 
Well I finally got my badge and events regestered at this year's Origins gaming convention. I will update the avalable attendance for the events to reflect my purchases.

Origins Tip
I would like to remind the masses that when you are at Origins it can be very easy to lose your badge. Always pin it onto your clothing and not have it on a loose object.

This is true. I have seen it happen. Origins has a badge holder for $5 at the shop and are open wenesday-sunday so buy it and wear it around your neck so you dont lose it. I did and it worked well the first year. Also like mysterious said pinning it to your shirt,vest,clothes.ect is also a nice way to keep it close by because you cant get into any hall without it and it takes a while sometimes to get it replaced :pokeball:

Actually an intresting story on that... When I went last year, the only time I was checked for my badge was during the Professor Championships (in the middle of the drafting)... other times I had it pinned to the pocket flap on my shorts or even in my pocket and never asked... the security can be flakey, but their not happen to have you dig it out of someplace ^^'

interesting marill i guess the guards have seen you before in the halls and didnet bother you but all the times i went they watched and if you didnet have your badge present they asked for it. Sometimes they are leanent.

Interestiung story oin your comments. I remember one year some woman was walking with her b/f in and a guy who dressed in a sttorm trooper outfit was standing guard and as she crosse4d the door he stood right in front of her with the laser guun across his chest. She was so freaked out she broke out in a sweat. I just kinda laughed as i passed by.

Actually this Hotel is not yet sold out. It is sold out for the general public but Hyatt Regency does have rooms available at the Origins rate of $112 per night. When you call ask for the Origins rooms. This is where we will be staying.

Thank you for that all important update. I'll make note on that. Then that could mean there are other hotels still avalable. Who knows but I can't afford all of the long distance calls to do that!

Theme Song, that is right! We need a theme song to celebrate this year in organized play. We did it during the old STSs I think it would be great if we could scrap something up this year. What do you think?

In honor of the end of wizards control and the start of nintendo control i think the theme song should be the old indigo plateau song that played at the first ECSTS. I believe that can make origins sound like the STS on more time :D I do remember many people including me who said it made them fell pumped up when they heard that song.

Ohh mysterious if your runnning a tourney ill compete. I hope it is at one of the big hotels attached to the convention center so the crowds of poke players can get there.

When I say I do tournament avalablity checks, its means I am check to see how many seats are remaining on the offical tournaments at Origins. I have no plans to have any unoffical tournaments but that doesn't mean I may not have bit of pre-origins fun planned in the future.
 
joghhny blze staying at the same hotels Lumaga1,myself,charwolf and the gamg will be staying at. SWEETNESS!!! It will so rock. I gotta give john a call soon and see what is gonna happen.
Now im so pumped for origins 04. The days are ticking in my mind.


Ohh mysterious there is some restaurant info:

First about pizza:
I learned last year pizza can not be delivered to downtown columbus but can be picked up at the palours so get your cars ready
There is a dominos and a pizza hut about 3 miles or so from the center if you need a pizza on short notice. Plus some local resurants are in that area too.


Downstairs in the food court there is
Subway-i think open 24 hours friday and staurday night
American burgers which serves burgers hotdogs and chicken. They also do breakfast
Steak restaurant
another chicken and egg restaurant

Max&erma's is next to teh hyatt regency. A nice restaurant for after turnmant gettogethers and celebtrations.

There is a pizza and deli in the hyatt by the bar area.

If mysterious or anyoen remembers any other restuarants please post. This is teh list i remmeber from origins 02-03

Also there is a small gift store in the hyatt. (they sell beer too)
There is a small candy,peanut store in the food court by the escalator
I know of the north market which is not a far walk up north across from the convention center
They are not open all day. They are a big shop but open in the daytime only.
I would NOT advise anyone to walk north high street without buddies and even then its dangerous at night. The best choice is if you want pizza or on the go food and no where is open or its all packed take a taxi or car down north high street south and you will hit alot of pizza places and if im not mistaken a chinese restaurant or two.

The only safe places to walk are by the nationwide arena and right my the back of the convention center where alot of the bars are because they are monitored and if you are either attacked or in trouble they are right by the glass doors so the gurds can see you.

My fault mysterious. So many talks of early drafts done by poke embers i thought you were gonna hold one. LOL if rocketman dosent have one i know ill be getting one together friday night before the nationals for anyone who is interested.
As timepasses ill have all the details on it another thread but i ahve to see where i can get a bulk of nintendo in time and if i can get the scedule i have changed for it.
 
Origin's Tip
Keep track of your deck is a must! A good idea to keep an eye on your deck is by using sleeves are unique or standout from traditional colors. For example those funky purple or green holographic sleeves that start to "paint" your hand in that color work great! Or Sleeves with a custom insignia such as the Pokemon Center ones. Whatever the case it is the best idea to sleeve your deck in a unique color or design to prevent the deck from being lost. Just remember to make sure the sleeves are in accordance with Pokemon Organized Play rules.
