i am hopefully going to origins. i am too young and need a guardian. i am tooold for the child's pass, and need to know if me and my guardian both need a badge, even though he is not playing

If your gaurdian is going with you into the convention, but not playing in any events, they can get a Parent Badge, which costs less than a regular badge. They will have access to all of Origins, but will not be able to participate in any events. For more info, check out www.originsgames.com

I work the convention so i can tell you honestly, as long as your guardian dosent go into the dealers room they'll be able to roam the rest of the convention with no worries. So incase we really crack down on it hard they could go free, just dont cause an issue and I wont have to ask them for a badge =)

I'll guarantee you that there will be at least 2 or 3 100% badge sweeps during the Con in the TCG hall. Watched a couple of folks get bounced for no badges last year.

Drift, breaking the rules anywhere is not a good thing to promote, work in it or not. The Origins Convention is a pay event, and that it will stay. Telling someone "you can get away with it by..." is bending/breaking the rules...

So unless they feel like sitting in the food court the entire time and not getting up, I would suggest they buy the Parent Badge.

Purchasing the badge also keeps the convention that we love oh-so-much running. So if nothing else, at least help support GAMA in their future of bringing us Origins.

Not to mention that your parents will never be able to enter the Exhibit Hall without a badge. That's where they'll find something interesting to purchase for you! :thumb:

There were times last year when I felt like sitting in the food court and not getting up...

Have them get their badges. It is so worth it!

The Pokemon winner's free admission had a free tag for winner and a parent pass option, they did not list an option on the form for a parent PLAYING. I was confused by this and luckily went on the Origins sight and got the playing pass for $10 more.

There are parents that litterally just sit down with a good book. I don't know how to read or write so I prefer to play.
