Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pikachu Evolve?

We'll see Pikachu become Raichu when Porygon's the guest star for an unbanned aired American episode.

Jynx never was a sexual stereotype. It was supposedly a racial stereotype of the whole blackface nonsense, which resulted in the poor thing being turned purple.

Lt. Surge episode all over again. What a total ripoff, once again.

All I care for the anime now is that Pikachu has to evolve...

Then prepare to be watching Pokemon for the rest of your life bro,

If you look on Serebii, it shows a Riachu vs. a Pikachu. Either it is Lt. Surge all over again, or a different Pikachu evolved.

I pretty much expected that.

Edit: I just finished "watching" the episode through the pics on Serebii, and it was nothing more, literally nothing more, than a complete rehash of Lt. Surge. Disgraceful. That's like those idiotic movie companies who think that by remaking an old classic they can make a quick buck. No. Just... just no.

Looking through pages and pages of still images is a terrible way to watch something.

So they're just rehashing a concept that's been in the comic book industry for many, many decades. Specifically, they're assuming that they've had enough turnover in the fanbase at this point that they can just straight-up reuse old plotlines and have it be new to the majority of their viewers.

'Gym whining aside, you know what? They're right.

This.

Also, it's not like they ignored the fact that they had an episode about this very subject. There were flashbacks and a little segment that talked about what happened with Machisu at the Kuchiba City Gym. As a side note, the Thunder Stone in this episode is the very same one Joy gave Satoshi in that episode. Apparently, he had been carrying it around all these years. Granted, Rocket-dan has it now.

Well, at least they acknowledge that. But why would Ash carry a Thunder Stone around? It's not like he's ever, ever going to use it in a million years. And exactly what point uis the to Team Rocket having it? They don't have anything to use it on either.

i think TR took it because if pikachu evolved then they would have no reason to go after ash and co. anymore.

Perhaps he figured Pikachu might decide it wanted to evolve some day.

This is correct. They rather panicked when they thought that the years of chasing after Pikachu might be for naught and they'd have to do something else other than stalk children for a living.

As for not having a use for it, do they really need a reason to steal a valuable evolution stone? :\

They could go to whatever mart and buy them for a couple thousand yen. It'd come out to like... not even a hundred bucks. Given that inflation in this universe is such that a bike costs about $10000, that's a pretty cheap price.

A, but that bike is a super bike, that is so advanced that it never falls over. That is why nobody bothers with helmets in the anime.

And is unfoldable and can easily be brought out by anyone in less than a second.

They could have actually made Pikachu accidentally evolve, then be de-evolved by Cradily. Has anyone else noticed that Lileep and Cradily seem to almost always de-evolve things?
