Pinsir, potential?

I just want to ask what you think of this combo and if there is any potential that this idea could work:

Pinsir
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie(Dream World)
Nature: Adamant
252 Attack 252 Speed 4 HP

Moveset:
Close Combat/Brick Break
X-Scissor
Rock Slide/Stone Edge
Earthquake

The idea with Pinsir is relatively similar to that of the old combo of Krookodile with Choice Scarf. So my question is, what do you think? Any feedback is appreciated.

Dreamworld Pinsir has not been officially released so Moxie Pinsir isn't legal. Without Moxie, Heracross pretty much does what you want Pinsir to do but better.

-Close Combat
-Megahorn
-Rock Slide/Stone Edge
-Earthquake

Megahorn over X-Scissor and STAB for Close Combat are significant advantages. Also Heracross's Dream World Ability is also Moxie.

Yeah, Heracross does pretty much anything Pinsir does except generally better; stronger Bug STAB attack, STAB from CC, and learns pretty much every move you'd want on Pinsir. Granted, Pinsir does have Mold Breaker, but even it doesn't really make up for the raw power (and pseudo protection since no one wants to give him status conditions) Guts can offer.

While I do agree that Heracross is a solid option, not to mention probably better than Pinsir, but Heracross is weak to Psychic type moves, whlie Pinsir is not. Do you think that Heracross' strength outways it's weakness to Psychic?

Pinsir will still get KO'd by Acrobatics so the extra Flying weakness doesn't matter. Psychic moves are used but aren't super common. Heracross's advantage outweigh the Psychic weakness.
