Hello Professors...

I received an email from [email protected]

It said...

POP is considering several changes to the Pokémon League after the end of Season 12. We've got some exciting changes in mind but we want to get some input from established League locations with reliable League Leaders. We'd like to get some feedback from you if have a moment.

How many League sessions do you hold each week?
What is the length of each session?
How many games, on average, are your League members playing each session?
What's the highest amount of points earned by one player in a session?
What's the fewest?
How likely would your players be to build 'challenge' decks for League (i.e. All Commons deck, Rare-less deck, Trainer-less deck, etc)?

Please email your responses to by Thursday, May 20th. If there is any further information that you feel would help improve the League, feel free to include it in your response.


Did any of you other professors/league Leaders receive this email??

If so please respond with your answers...as they will be beneficial to POP and Leagues....

If you want my stats for your reply ... here they are ...

  • 1 per week
  • 4 hours (1pm - 5pm Saturdays)
  • 6 - 7 (We now hold Sanctioned tournaments as league, thats what the players wanted)
  • Before we ran tournaments as league, 620, with 7 others breaking 550
  • Never any players under 150 before the tournaments
  • Worked well when we've done them (Grass only, Fire only, Jungle, Fossil, Rareless, Evos only with no poke powers, etc ...)
 
Probably just went to league leaders.
And why not send it outside the US?
Because the US leagues are run by a different group than international leagues, which are "run" (note the quotes) by distributors.

How many games, on average, are your League members playing each session? Usually 5-6 games, depending.

What's the highest amount of points earned by one player in a session? I think it was 150 or so (using the ten-point system).

What's the fewest? 20.

How likely would your players be to build 'challenge' decks for League (i.e. All Commons deck, Rare-less deck, Trainer-less deck, etc)? I don't know. For me, I build all sorts of decks, and sometimes use them as "Gym Leader battles", where if the opponent beats the deck, they earn their Badge.
 
I have not received this email either (as the League Leader). I have asked my contact at the store to check to see if he received this message instead, and I am still waiting on his response.
