i don't see how that helps against LBS or cham since they can still place damage on the toed EX.. unless I'm missing something

Well yes, obviously it wouldn't help against thoughs, but it would help against ZRE , RK9.

If you were playing altaria tech vs. ZRE why would you bother building the 'toed in the first place? Cursed stone and desert ruins will tear them apart for a nice long while, and there ain't squat they can do vs. 12 fossils and those 5 gyms in a 30 minute match. Add in dunsparce confusion and you're good to go. Even if they pow your 2 dunsparce out of commission, the best they've done is tied it on prizes after they blew up the trode. You wouldn't even need the altaria, really, but if you got it up fast enough (dewgong, by the way, would probably be better, since for altaria you need L energy), it'd work just fine.

I think the portion of the strategy for this deck that people are missing is when it's proper to build a politoed and when it isn't. Knowing the answer to that is knowing how to win with this deck.

When I notice they are playing LBS or Espycham I don't build toad just altaria.
I use it personally because Altaria is one of my favorites and about the lightning energy I just swapped a water energy for a holon pokemon.
Great article though you should get it into archtype.

Thanks, I've been asking bulbasnore, ( lol and he's been very patiente after listening to me beg and complain over and over. ) I think I'm going to let him deside whether or not its archetype worthy, and I'll respect his desision. It's not a big deal if he never puts in on there, because we can allways look on here.

S'funny, but looking through the deck ideas, I went back to an older idea, Blastoise EX- Jumpluff, which uses the Hit & Run Idea also. I used the Pidgeot, with 1 Tech Pop2 in order to pick up a hurting Blastoise, if he ever gets out. I also LOVE the Dunsparce idea and it will work GREAT against Mew EX and Jirachi on T1 if you go first. I think I find, like Dendro, that the Pidgeot takes up a lot of room that would normally be good for Fossils and other Trainers. I use Holon WP also and it really helps against Flariados, Queendom Toxic, Jynx, etc.

I really like your Politoed archetype, BTW. Thanks for all the tips on helping me rebuild Blastoise-Jumpluff in the process.
